Next year Disney will be celebrating 100 years of making magic. The celebration, called Disney 100 Years of Wonder is set to be kicked off on New Year’s Eve and officially launched at Disneyland on January 27, 2023. Ahead of the launch, Disney has revealed a Disney100 collection, that will be available on shopDisney starting on December 12, 2022. This will be one of many limited release collections that will come out during the celebration. They will all be found at shopDisney.com/disney100.
The Disney100 Platinum Celebration Collection will be the first collection to launch. Here is a description of it:
The Disney100 Platinum Celebration Collection will be the first to launch, beginning multiple waves of limited release product lines to follow on shopDisney. The Platinum Celebration Collection features stylings that provide an elegant addition for any Disney fan, capturing the “classically Disney” aesthetic in platinum while looking forward to the next eras ahead. Exciting pieces include the iconic Mickey Mouse Ear Hat with a platinum touch, Sketchbook Ornaments with classic designs of beloved characters and a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plush.
For anyone wanting to showcase their Disney100 love while out and about, also available are the Platinum Loungefly Mini Backpack and a commemorative Mickey Mouse and Friends Water Bottle, perfect for carrying your drink on the go. Bring Disney100 into your home with the Disney100 Platinum Celebration Collection Throw Pillow or the soft fleece Mickey Mouse and Friends Throw graced by Goofy and Donald in fabulous retro looks; top your shelf with the Limited Release Disney100 Platinum Celebration Collection Minnie Ear Headband and Mickey Ear Hat, complete with a commemorative box and black velvet base. Certain pieces from this collection will be available on shopDisney in EMEA and APAC.
There will be other collections that celebrate different parts of The Walt Disney Company and its legacy that will be released throughout the year. At this point, the following have been announced:
- The Disney100 Oswald Collection shines a spotlight on one of Walt Disney’s earliest creations, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
- The Disney100 The Eras Collection showcases early decades across the studio and parks.
- Disney100 Decades Collection (debuting in early 2023) will celebrate different classic stories from the company’s history, including Snow White (1930), Pinocchio (1940), and countless others.
Daps Magic will follow updates on these collections and others during Disney 100 Years of Wonder and provide updates on them as they become available. Throughout the celebration, Disney is encouraging fans to celebrate the occasion on social media with the hashtags #ShareTheWonder and #Disney100.
