Disney Parks to Celebrate Disney+ Day With Early Entry and “Plussed” Up Experiences

September 8, 2022 is Disney+ Day. To celebrate, Disney Parks will be offering some “plussed” up experiences for subscribers of Disney’s streaming service. The experiences will begin before the parks officially open for the day. Disney+ subscribers will have the opportunity to enter parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort 30 minutes early. For Disney+ subscribers who are also staying at Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, the window on September 8th to enter early will be 60 minutes!

Once inside the parks, Disney+ subscribers will get Disney PhotoPass photo downloads at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Disneyland theme parks for the day. There will also be special Disney PhotoPass Lenses to be enjoyed as well. Guests and fans will be able to wear festive Mickey ears or invite Groot to make a cameo through the limited-time lenses. They will be available both in Snapchat and the My Disney Experience App.

There will also be some Disney+ experiences that are unique to specific resorts as well.

Disneyland Resort

Disney+ subscribers visiting the Disneyland Resort will want to check out the chalk art that will be found at the Downtown Disney District and Disneyland Hotel. Over at Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure, there will be a photo op with Mater and Lightning McQueen. For guests staying at the Disneyland Resort hotels, there will be a special movie screening at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

There will also be some fun food and beverage available for Disney+ Day. There will be blue-dusted churros that will only be available at the Disneyland Resort theme parks for Disney+ Day. They will be found on Buena Vista Street and Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure park and also at Disneyland park near Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Astro Blasters in Tomorrowland. In the Downtown Disney District there will be three blue cocktails to be found. This includes the Ocean Breeze at Naples Ristorante E Bar, Blue Hawaiian at Uva Bar & Cafe, and a Tropical Margarita at Tortilla Jo’s.

Walt Disney World Resort

At Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the place go and celebrate Disney+ Day! There will be special Disney+ character meet-and-greets and cavalcades, “plus” some more surprises to be experienced and found throughout the day. There will also be a special Disney+ movie screening for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels at Movie Under the Stars.

Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris will be celebrating Disney+ Day as well with special entertainment that has been created specifically for the day. There will also be Disney PhotoPass opportunities. Guests will also not want to miss the blue-themed chocolate hazelnut donut as well. Disney+ subscribers and their party that have theme park tickets and reservations are also invited to enter the park 30 minutes before opening at 9:00 AM on September 8, 2022.

Over at Hong Kong Disneyland, celebrations will be happening as well. However, they will be celebrating Disney+ Day on September 10, 2022. On the Disney Cruise Line, there will also be some celebrations. During the August 29-September 5 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise, members aboard the Disney Wonder will get some special gifts from Disney+ and also 9 exclusive shows and experiences that are connected with current and upcoming Disney+ programming.

On top of all of that, Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing will also be celebrating Disney+ Day around the globe on September 8, 2022. More details will be revealed about this at a later date.
