The Boardwalk Deli will be opening later this summer at Disney’s BoardWalk. Previously the Boardwalk Bakery, this location will soon offer foods inspired by the delis found in the Northeast. The inspiration ranges from classic sweet and savory flavors from New York to the Jersey Shore. Disney has released a peek at what will soon be coming when the Boardwalk Deli opens at Disney’s BoardWalk.
There are several breakfast options to be had at the Boardwalk Deli. This includes a selection of house-baked bagels with a choice of schmear, a variety of sweet breakfast pastries, or a warm bagel sandwich. One bagel sandwich option is the Everything Bagel Sandwich. It has cage-free eggs, sausage, and cheddar cheese. The Bagel Breakfast Sandwich is also an option with cage-free eggs, bacon, sweet caramelized onions, and cheddar cheese. The Plant-based Ciabatta Sandwich has a “egg” Florentine, plant-based cheese, tomato jam, and arugula.
There are also lunch and dinner options available. There are both hot and cold deli sandwiches to choose from that can be served on marble rye, fluffy ciabatta, or soft and springy focaccia bread. The breads are all baked fresh in-house.
The signature Italian Sub has thinly sliced capicola, sopressata, and pepperoni with provolone, arugula, tomato, arugula pesto, and mayonnaise on fresh-baked ciabatta bread. The Warn Pastrami Reuben is a classic deli option that has rolls of thin-sliced warm pastrami that is topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing on marble rye bread.
There is also a plant-based twist on a classic favorite. The Veggie Crunch Muffaletta has cured and pickled root vegetables, an olive-giardiniera tapenade and plant-based cheese, served on focaccia. There is also the Roasted Chicken Sandwich with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and roasted garlic aioli served on ciabatta. Another classic option is the Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Soup.
House-made whole dill pickles are also available to add to a meal. All sandwiches come with a side of house-made chips, creamy coleslaw, or soup.
There are some delicious dessert options as well to enjoy. The Cannolis are filled to order and include a crispy shell with a creamy blend of mascarpone cheese, ricotta, and shaved dark chocolate, with a hint of lemon zest and also a touch of Mickey Mouse! The Blueberry Scone is made of crème fraiche and then topped with pearl sugar.
There are also some other Northeastern classics that include the New Jersey Crumbcake (moist cake with a thick cinnamon-crumb topping) or the New York-style Half-moon Cookie that is topped with rich chocolate ganache and buttercream.
Those who love pastries will love the chocolate-dipped Cream Puff (hand piped with a silky custard) or the Raspberry Danish (layered with velvet custard, fresh raspberries, and sugar crumble). There are also the warm and gooey Cinnamon Yummies that has been a guest favorite. Finally, there are quite a few different cookie options. This includes the Brownie Cheesecake, brownies, the Cookies & Cream Cupcake, and also the 50th Anniversary Celebration Cupcake.
There are some delicious drinks to be enjoyed at BoardWalk Deli as well. There are organic wine spritzes by Ramona that come in flavored of dry grapefruit, blood orange, and also meyer lemon. There are also some craft cocktails by Social Hour. These include the Sunkissed Fizz (bright and juicy vodka fizz with rip fruit and crisp citrus) or the Prizefighter (a Collins built around the combo of whiskey and peach).
