The plaque says the following:

We dedicate Avengers Campus to the incomparable Stan Lee.

“That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt a real superhero.”

Thank you, Stan, for inspiring the hero within each of us. You have made us all True Believers.

Stan Lee was born on December 28, 1922, and passed away on November 12, 2018. He was a comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. His career started at what was then Timely Publications where he rose through the ranks. This company would eventually become Marvel Comics. Eventually, he would become the primary creative lead for the company as it grew from a small division of a publishing house to a powerful multimedia company. He would collaborate with people like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko and help create characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow. In his later years, he was known for his cameos in Marvel movies and television shows.

Stan Lee was an inspiration to so many who have followed. As Avengers Campus is dedicated now to Stan Lee, his legacy is a reminder that anyone can be anything.
