Adventures by Disney announced three new river cruise vacations in Europe for 2023. These new cruises will take guests on trips on the Rhine, Danube, and Seine. There will be 27 departures that will allow guests to experience what it is like firsthand in Europe as they experience people, places, and stories of iconic destinations.
Each of these trips will be led by a team of Adventure Guides who have been trained specifically for the trip. Guests will get the magic of a river cruise coupled with the Disney difference. Each experience will have the opportunity for specific programs for either adults or kids. Some of the cruises will also be adult-only. This includes Food and Wine and Oktoberfest-themed cruises. There will also be festive cruises open to the whole family that will stop at European Christmas markets.
The cruises will be aboard AmaWaterways, a luxury river cruise line. The cruises will be eight-days and seven nights long. The following descriptions were released by Adventures by Disney for each of these river cruises:
Rhine River
On Rhine River cruises, guests explore storybook villages in Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Highlights include a toboggan ride through the black forest, high-adrenaline thrills at an indoor winter park and a voyage through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley offering up-close views of 30 majestic castles.
Danube River
Danube River sailings visit eight unforgettable destinations in Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary, where adventurers roam medieval ruins, scale treetop rope bridges and marvel at the rolling hills made famous in “The Sound of Music.”
Seine River
Seine River cruises celebrate the magnificence of rural France with visits to picturesque provincial towns, the historic beaches of Normandy, Monet’s House and Gardens, the dramatic cliffs of Etretat, and Paris – the “City of Lights.”
For guests aboard the Adventures by Disney Seine River cruise, there is also the option to extend their vacation. Adventures by Disney is offering a three-day, two-night “Paris Escape” that can be added as a pre-cruise package. This will give guests the chance to experience the “City of Lights” in a magical way that will include dinner in the Eiffel Tower, a private walking culinary tour, and also a guided tour of the Louvre Museum. This will include a special art detective activity for Junior Adventurers. This package is designed to give guests the chance to experience the can’t miss attractions in Paris along with some hidden gems. It will also include two Adventure Guides. Adventures by Disney Escapes can be booked as an add-on or a standalone getaway.
