Knott’s Berry Farm, via Twitter and Facebook, have announced that Montezooma’s Revenge will close on January 10, 2022 for a lengthy refurbishment. When it reopens in 2023, the roller coaster will have “upgraded and exciting changes” to it. The coaster is the first flywheel-shuttle coaster and has entertained guests for several years now. It seems Knott’s is committed to letting generations to come enjoy it and even enhance it. For it being the first of its kind, it does need that tender care to get it back to great form, and so the refurbishment is a welcome one.
