Disney Cruise Line to Require All Passengers 5 and Older to Be Vaccinated

The Disney Cruise Line has updated its policy to require that all guests 5 years old and older be fully vaccinated. This new policy will be implemented starting January 13, 2022, for all cruises both from the United States and abroad. The new policy comes as the Disney Cruise Line continues to return to some sense of normalcy after not being able to take on any passengers for over a year due to the pandemic.

The policy currently requires guests 12 and up and all crew members to be fully vaccinated. Between now and January 13th, cruisers between 5 and 11 will be required to take a COVID-19 test prior to departure.

The new policy comes after the Pfizer vaccine was approved by federal regulators for children 5 to 11. The approval has had different reactions from different cruise lines. Disney Cruise Line is one of the leaders in updating its vaccine policy.
