Walt Disney World Resort Announces New Restaurant Coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort

A new restaurant is coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The new establishment, Steakhouse 71, will be opening just off the main lobby.

The new restaurant will be casual-themed with its name coming from the year that Walt Disney World Resort opened. This dining location appears to be replacing what was formerly The Wave. The announcement was made with a post on social media.

An exact opening date for Steakhouse 71 isn’t known at this time. It isn’t the only restaurant that is undergoing changes at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Upstairs, California Grill will also soon be receiving a new dining experience later this year.

All of these changes come as Walt Disney World Resort prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The World’s Most Magical Celebration will run for 18 months and start on October 1, 2021.
