Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto Reopens at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Today!

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is reopening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort today. The news was released by Disney in a post about the celebration of Dole Whip Day at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. As of today, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto will again be serving unique foods and drinks inspired by the South Seas. This Tiki Bar is full of interesting artifacts, decorations, and treasures and is an adventure to experience. It opens at 3:00 PM and remains open until 12:00 AM.

The reopening of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto coincides with the reopening of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been undergoing some renovations that bring the inspiration of Moana into the decor at the resort. Work still continues at the resort with its entrance. It is scheduled to be complete before Walt Disney World Resort kicks off its 50th-anniversary celebration in October.

Today is also the official DOLE Whip® Day and Disney announced a new Moana-themed DOLE Whip that is offered at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This “Tamatoa-inspired” Dipped Cone can be found at Pineapple Lanai. It consists of Dole Whip raspberry swirled with Dole Whip orange in a white chocolate-dipped waffle cone. The cone is coated with “shiny” gold sugar.
