Fireworks have returned to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort. On a rainy night, thousands of guests camped out to watch as Happily Ever After was presented to the public for the first time since closing with the parks in March 2021.
To say the night was magical would be an understatement. However wet it was, it did not dampen magic or the spirits of those in attendance. Tears flowed as freely as the rain for some guests who shared about how it felt like this was a big indicator that things were finally getting back to normal.
Walt Disney World Resort shared video of Happily Ever After returning to the skies above Magic Kingdom for DAPS MAGIC to share. Check out the return of this fireworks spectacular to the skies over Walt Disney World below.
Happily Ever After debuted at Magic Kingdom on May 12, 2017. It became an instant favorite and classic. With music and moments from many Disney and Pixar stories, it is full of magic and heart. The show is divided into multiple segments. They include:
- Opening
- Dreams
- Journey
- Friendship
- Love
- Adversity
- Triumph
- Finale
The return of Happily Ever After will not be an indefinite one, however. On October 1st, Magic Kingdom will debut its new fireworks show that will be part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration of its 50th anniversary. Disney Enchantment will be lighting up the skies over Magic Kingdom along with also utilizing projection technology for an even more immersive nighttime spectacular experience.
