Laughter is What They’re After in First Monsters at Work Teaser

Disney+ has released the first teaser for Monsters at Work. The new series that follows the exploits of Mike and Sully after the events of Monsters, Inc will be arriving on Disney+ on July 2, 2021.

The teaser shows off some classic well-known characters, and also introduces some new ones. One new one is Tylor Tuskmon (Ben Feldman) who arrived at Monsters, Inc all ready to scare up the place… only to discover that isn’t what is being sought anymore. Because of this, he’s hired as a part of the Monsters, Inc. Facilities team (MIFT). Other members of the team are Fritz (Henry Winkler), Val Little (Mindy Kaling), Cutter (Alanna Ubach), and Duncan (Lucas Neff).

Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sully (John Goodman) are also back and now in charge thanks to Rose (Bob Peterson). Yes, that’s Rose and not Roz. They are tasked with changing the philosophy of Monsters, Inc from collecting screams to laughter! They are joined by other friends from Monsters, Inc including Mrs. Flint (Bonnie Hunt), Yeti (John Ratzenberger), Celia (Jennifer Tilly), along with Smitty and Needleman (Stephen Stanton). They also are joined by Tylor’s mom Millie (Aisha Tyler).

Monsters at Work Description

“Monsters At Work takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.”
