It’s Not an April Fools’ Joke – DISNEY Reporter

Welcome to another edition of DISNEY Reporter! This week, there is a lot of ground to cover with the top five stories of the week from DAPS MAGIC.

The first story could seem like an April Fools’ Joke, but it isn’t. California announced updated guidelines this week that could enable theme parks, including Disneyland, to reopen starting on April 1st! Will this happen? Probably not. However, it could. At the Disneyland Resort, this week tickets went on sale for A Touch of Disney as the event was extended through April 19th. All of these tickets sold out before the end of the day. Over at Walt Disney World Resort, EPCOT unveiled new flags at its entrance and also a new background music loop.

In entertainment news this week, Bob Chapek hinted that theatrical windows could be shortened in the future for Disney films as consumer preferences have changed during the pandemic.

Finally, The Walt Disney Company will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023. One of the ways this milestone will be celebrated is with an exhibition at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.

What do you think of this week’s top stories? Which story do you think is the top story of the week? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments! We’ll see you in the parks!
