Join the Interest List as “LIVE FROM THE SPACE STAGE: A HALYX STORY” Comes to Free Drive-In Theater

Just two months ago, Live from the Space Stage: A Halyx Story hit YouTube to fans’ delight. Whether you’ve seen it before or want to watch it again, you can get on the standby list for free tickets to a showing of the film at a drive-in theater on October 28! You can also be added to a list for future encore performances of the documentary.

The film covers Halyx, a band that played in Disneyland for one glorious summer in 1981. While the band may have only been around for a few months, that didn’t stop the fans from becoming dedicated. Whether it was making their own merchandise or synchronized dances to the song, fans have loved Halyx since their debut at Disneyland.

The film, directed by Matthew Serrano and presented by Defunctland, has captured hearts of a whole new generation. There have been numerous social media posts of people getting a new Halyx shirt with art of the band or a hat from Kevin Purjerer of Defunctland himself. It has been a lot of fun to see fans fall in love with a band that performed nearly 40 years ago.

If you want the chance to catch this movie at the drive-in or an encore performance, simply add your name to the list here. The current event will take place on October 28 at The Frida Cinema Pop-Up Drive-In in Anaheim. While the movie will start at 7:30pm, doors will open at 6:30pm.
