HAIL HALYX (Tribute Music Video)
Live from the Space Stage: A Halyx Story is a documentary about a rock band that was a Star Wars-inspired rock band that performed on the Space Stage in Tomorrowland for one summer. It was at risk of being forgotten but a few people never forgot and those memories were captured by director Matthew Serrano along with the good folks over at Defunctland. Now, thanks to their efforts this band will be remembered for generations.
At the drive-in world premiere of the documentary, there was also a reunion that was presented. HALYX: Reunited brings together some of the people who were a part of bringing HALYX together and also the documentary as well. It has now been uploaded on to YouTube as well and can be seen below.
While the band only lasted a summer at Disneyland, the legacy continues of rock bands being brought in to perform for Disneyland Resort guests with both cover and original songs with bands like Suburban Legends and the Mad T Party bands through the years.
