Earlier this week Disneyland Paris released a virtual Imagineering panel that looks into the creation of Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon at Disneyland Paris. The attraction originally opened on June 1st, 1995. The panel included the following Imagineers:
- Tom Fitzgerald – Portfolio Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering
- Yves Ben Yeta – Director Creative Development, Walt Disney Imagineering
- Ann Morrow Johnson – Executive producer/Creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering
- Luc Mayrand – Portfolio Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering
This panel was moderated by Disney Paris Ambassador Joana Afonson Santiago with an introduction by the President of Disneyland Paris Natasha Rafalski. Throughout the course of the video, the various iterations of Disneyland Paris’ Space Mountain are discussed. This includes Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon (1995-2005), Space Mountain: Mission 2 (2005-2017), and Hyperspace Mountain which is the current version.
