This morning, Star Wars fans received the news that Star Wars Celebration Anaheim would be postponed to 2022. The convention was set to take place in August 2020 but as COVID-19 has continued to affect the world, organizers realized that the best way to keep everyone safe was to postpone the event. This afternoon, Disneyland announced that they would be postponing Star Wars Nite, which was set to kick off the convention’s celebration.
The event was set to take place on August 27 to celebrate the first complete day of the celebration at the convention center. While Celebration has publicly postponed their event to 2022, it is currently unknown when Disney will reschedule this event. At this time, there is no information available for refunds or transferring your ticket for the event. We hope that we can see this event moved to a time where we can safely enjoy all things Star Wars at Disneyland!
This event was previously held for multiple weekends in 2018 and we had an absolute blast! One of the things we enjoyed the most was the parade of fans in cosplay through the heart of Disneyland. If you want to see highlights from our previous events, you can check out the video below!
