Enterprise-D - Star Trek: Picard

New Star Trek: Picard Blue Skies Trailer Shows the Return of the Enterprise

A new Star Trek: Picard trailer entitled Blue Skies was released by CBS All Access over the weekend. While showing more of what will be in store for Jean-Luc Picard in the future, it also harkens back to the past. The name of the trailer itself is reminiscent of the use of this song in the final Star Trek: The Next Generation movie Star Trek: Nemesis. The trailer also gives a look at the former Enterprise-D, the ship Picard captained throughout Star Trek: The Next Generation. Data also shows up in this trailer, as he has in several before.

It isn’t all about the past though. Along the way, a few tidbits about what is coming in the show are revealed that could be potential spoilers for what Picard’s new adventures will be. Check them all out in the trailer below, unless you want to not know too much about the show!

Star Trek: Picard will be arriving on CBS All Access on January 23. The show picks up 18 years after events of Nemesis. A young girl, apparently from Picard’s past in some way, seeks his help and draws him out of retirement. As he comes out of retirement, Picard will be in contact with many of his former Enterprise crew. He will also find himself working with some other Starfleet alumni, most notably Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager. Star Trek: Picard stars Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Harry Treadaway.
