Over the last few months, Disneyland guests have noticed that the entrance to Tomorrowland is undergoing some fairly substantial changes. The iconic rocks that have adorned the entrance for Tomorrowland for decades were removed. They were replaced by some grassed areas that currently have been without a fence. Now, Disneyland has revealed what the plan for the entrance is.
Guests visiting Disneyland this morning found a new piece of concept art at the entrance to Tomorrowland giving a look at what the plan is for the area. DAPS MAGIC contributor Steven grabbed the following photos this morning shortly after Disneyland opened.
The new entrance will tie in the spires found throughout the rest of Tomorrowland. Spires like this can be found on and around Space Mountain and also at the Tomorrowland Terrace. The planters also connect with other circular planters in Tomorrowland. While fans have been enjoying the temporary “hub grass,” there has been lots of speculation about what would be replacing it. This replacement will give Tomorrowland a new entrance that connects heavily with the nostalgia of the past.
This week some new fencing went up around some of the grass planters near the entrance of Tomorrowland as well.
