This morning on Good Morning America an inside look at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. While it didn’t give away all of what will be happening on this new attraction, it did give some new details. Watch below as some of the details are revealed about this attraction.
The bulk of the new information comes from Managing Story Editor of Walt Disney Imagineering, Margaret Kerrison. She shares how the attraction will be a 360° experience. She shares that Rise of the Resistance will be a “cool, epic, and very elaborate story, for you to feel like you are truly in an immersive, authentic, and 360° experience.” Other details to come out of the detail include the fact that Rey, Poe and Fin along with Kylo Ren, General Hux and of course Storm Troopers will be a part of the attraction.
Kerrison shared, “Everyone has the capacity to be a hero, and I think that’s what we really want our guests to feel, is that when they come in here, they feel like they can be that spark to make a mark in the galaxy.”
According to GMA, on Rise of the Resistance, guests will board an ITS ship and be taken to the hangar bay of a star destroyer. There will be multiple ride systems for this attraction. When it opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 5th, it will take guests literally even further into the galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open at Disneyland on January 17, 2019.
