Disney Confirms Country Bears and Tiki Birds to Remain at Walt Disney World

Disney has had a lot to announce this summer. With the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it was expected that most of the summer would be spent talking about things arriving at the Disney Parks. However, the news this week hasn’t been about things coming to the Disney Parks, for which there are many. Instead, it has been about things remaining at the Disney Parks, specifically at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

This week the Disney Parks Blog and other official Disney media confirmed that Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and also The Country Bear Jamboree would not be going anywhere. The first announcement made was about Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. The attraction, found in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom, has delighted guests since opening in 1971. It has undergone some changes through the years, but it continues to entertain thousands of guests every day with its 88 singing birds and over 225 choreographed Audio-Animatronic performers.

The Country Bear Jamboree opened with the Magic Kingdom in 1971. The Disney Parks Blog also confirmed this week that the Country Bear Jamboree “is not going into hibernation any time soon.” In fact, it will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.

With the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort coming, expect more announcements and news to be coming from Disney.
