Smoking will be banned in the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. It will also be banned in the waterparks and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort and the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. This smoking ban will also include vaping and electronic cigarettes. The new policy will be taking effect on May 1, 2019.
The change removes smoking from in the Disney Parks in the United States and also other Disney parks and experiences. As a rule of thumb, anywhere inside a security perimeter will no longer allow smoking once the changes go into effect.
There will be designated smoking areas available still. These will be found at specific areas outside of the parks (most likely outside of the security berm), the Disney Resort Hotels, and also Disney Springs (Walt Disney World).
The change to the smoking policy was released along with updates about parking at the Disneyland Resort and an update to the stroller policy for the Disney Parks domestically. Stay tuned to DAPS MAGIC and subscribe to our daily mailing list for more updates on these stories and more.
