In Ralph Breaks the Internet, the world of Ralph and Vanellope has expanded massively. It picked up six years after Wreck-it Ralph. Ralph thinks life is pretty much perfect, Vanellope is hoping for more. However, when Vanellope’s game gets broken, Ralph takes her on an adventure into the internet to save her game. The resulting adventure leads to new discoveries about the world they live in and also about themselves.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is a comedic adventure that includes a humorous musical number, intriguing new characters, and also some returning favorite friends. There are plenty of fun things to catch in this film so it’ll be worth watching and re-watching to catch all these hidden gems.
Quality
Ralph Breaks the Internet is a visually pleasing film to watch. As so often happens with sequels in animated films, the sequel builds on the quality of the animation of its predecessor. Ralph Breaks the Internet is no exception. The animation is beautiful. The world building for this film is also incredible. In fact, it is the largest world that was built for an animated film to date. It also has the most characters. It looks really impressive as Disney imagined what the internet would look like for those who visit and live in it. The audio that accompanies this movie is a nice blend of classical soundtrack combined with some synthetic sounds to create a large environment that takes place in a digital realm. It was very well done. Overall, the quality was solid for both the audio and visual components of this film. Together they create an enjoyable viewing experience that utilizes an HD television and sound system beautifully.
Extras
There are quite a few extras included with Ralph Breaks the Internet. The main one, How We Broke the Internet, goes into how the team behind the movie brought the internet to life onscreen. This was very interesting and enjoyable to watch. I also really liked the feature on the music for the film and the feature sharing the Easter Eggs in the film. Overall, this was an enjoyable collection of extras to watch. I won’t put it in the top tier of bonus features I’ve ever reviewed but they were still enjoyable and worth watching.
