Walt Disney World Resort Announces New Online Resource to Plan, Book and Pay for Disney Vacations

Disney has announce a new way to put together your next vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. The goal is to create an experience that is easier than ever for guests as they plan their Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Starting on October 16, DisneyWorld.com will offer a new online vacation-planning tool along with the ability to purchase tickets priced by the date of the visit.

This new tool is being billed as an “online vacation-planning destination” and will include park offering overviews, travel tips from Disney Parks Moms Panelists and customized suggestions based on personal preferences. This should simplify the entire vacation planning and booking process.

One tool that will be found is a booking calendar. It will allow guests to see the prices for different dates at the Walt Disney World Resort when they are booking. This may give them the opportunity to find savings by planning their visit during lower priced dates. This typically happens during off-peak times.

The Disney Parks Blog released a video showcasing how this will all work:

Once tickets have been purchased, the whole process moves seamlessly into the My Disney Experience. This will help guests plan the details of their trips. My Disney Experience can be accessed through the website or through the mobile app.

The Disney Parks Blog also stated that these changes are being instituted to help even out the traffic that is going to the parks. As demand increases with popularity, it makes for a better experience if the guest flow is spread out rather than having everyone come at the same time. A more evenly distributed attendance flow helps empower Disney to offer an even more stable and solid Disney experience.

What do you think of these changes coming to the Walt Disney World Resort booking experience? Would you like to see them used at other Disney Theme Parks around the globe i.e. Disneyland? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
