Disney’s Live-Action Mulan Finds Its Star in Liu Yifei

After visiting five continents and seeing more than thousands of actresses, Disney has found Mulan!

Chinese actress Liu Yifei, also known as Crystal Liu, met all of Disney’s expectations, fluent English, martial arts skills, and a true star quality. Liu is adored by the Chinese public, gaining the nickname of “Fairy Sister” for her pure image. She broke into the scene when she was still a teenager enrolled in Beijing Film Academy. Liu has acted alongside Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Hayden Christensen, and Nicolas Cage in her career, and has starred in multiple blockbusters in China!

This live-action Mulan film is slated to release in 2019, and will be directed by Niki Caro. Are you looking forward to this release?
