Gordon Goodwin and the 2017 Disneyland Resort All-American College Band

Gordon Goodwin and Disneyland Resort 2017 All-American College Band Take To The Royal Theater

This week in Fantasyland’s Royal Theater, the 2017 Disneyland Resort All-American College band was joined by guest clinician and Grammy Award winner Gordon Goodwin for a very special concert.

Goodwin began his partnership with Disney when he was employed as a musician at the Disneyland Resort. Later on, Disney approached Goodwin to write a musical television show featuring Mouseketeers such as Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. Goodwin also composed the original soundtrack for Haunted Mansion Holiday, and though his score has largely been replaced, various pieces of his original composition exist inside the holiday themed attraction.

The Disneyland Resort All-American College Band is an 11 week program that invites college musicians from across the country to not only perform in Disney theme parks, but have the ability to meet and learn from many different guest instructors that are in the entertainment industry. The Disneyland Resort All-American College Band performs Monday-Friday at the Disneyland Resort throughout the summer.
