‘Tower of Terror’ Film to be in the Works by Disney

Any Tower of Terror fans out there? If that is a yes, I’m sure you have either taken a trip on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction or you’ve had the chance to see the 1997 Disney Channel Original Movie. The exciting news is that a film based on the attraction is being put in the works (again).

Over on Deadline, the website reports that writer John August and Jim Whitaker are working on this rebooted project. The film will be a “haunted house picture.”

The premise: Five people in a posh hotel take an elevator and disappear after it is hit by lightning.

The details of this plan are very vague. When it comes to the cast, release date and if it will be a television or in theater release, it’s all still up in the air. There are also reports that the The Twilight Zone part of the name will not be associated with the new film.

Do you think a new movie needs to be made on this story line?

Stay tuned for more details on this project!
