Jurassic World Makes Global Records, Sequels with Chris Pratt on the Way

Jurassic World

Jurassic World roared to the top of the box office this weekend with a domestic opening take of $204.6 million. Add that to the $307.2 million it brought in internationally and a new global record now belongs to Jurassic World. The $511.8 million global opening weekend makes it the biggest global box office opening weekend ever! It also is the first time that any movie has grossed over a half billion dollars in one weekend.

Obviously with momentum like that, people are already looking towards the future of the dino movies and asking if there will be another Jurassic Park movie. Chris Pratt seemed to jokingly confirm that indeed there will be and that he will also be in it (or them). In an interview with EW, he was asked if he was on board for any future Jurassic movies.

“I am,” he confirmed and then added “They have me for I think 38 movies or something.”

So what did you think of Jurassic World? Do you think it is a good idea for there to be made more? What do you think of Chris Pratt returning?
