Jurassic World is just a little bit over a month away and with the trailers and clips that have been released, we have a pretty good idea about what is going to happen and how it is going to happen. This most recent clip that has been released gives one more glimpse into the events leading up to disaster in Jurassic World.
Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park is owned by the Masrani Corporation. Owen (Chris Pratt), a member of Jurassic World’s on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors. After many years, Jurassic World’s attendance rates begin to decline and a new attraction, created to re-spark visitor interest, gravely backfires.
So what do you think?
I personally didn’t find this to be the best clip that has been released. In fact, I would go as far as to say this was completely unnecessary. Most of what is being shown here has been shown before. Yes, there are a few extra moments added in but… the clip really wasn’t that compelling to me. There wasn’t any new information other than what happens as the gate closes. However, that result is a foregone conclusion anyway… right? In some ways, I’d almost rather not know how some things happen and leave it to the imagination. I’m still pretty excited about this movie but this clip just didn’t hit the mark for me.
