The cast and crew of Star Wars: The Force Awakens wishes to thank everyone for their support for the StarWars: Force For Change initiative. To do so, a special video was put together.
Star Wars: Force for Change ran from May 21-July 25, 2014 and raised money for UNICEF to help find creative solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. It came out of a collaboration between Disney, Lucasfilm, and director J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot company. People from around the globe participated for a chance to not only make a difference, but also appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This included people from 125 countries in an effort that raised over $4.2 million towards the UNICEF cause. Disney also committed $1 million towards this cause to get it jumpstarted.
The video doesn’t have as many Easter eggs as previous Force for Change videos but there are still cameos of Chewbacca and R2-D2. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy also appears. There are a few glimpses at the sets to fuel more speculation for us to geek out about in the coming year.
What do you think of this video? What do you think of Star Wars: Force for Change?
Make it a GREAT day!
