Paramount has set its sights on July 8, 2016 as the day the next film in the Star Trek franchise will arrive in theaters. This comes on the heels of yesterday’s news that Justin Lin will be directing Star Trek 3.
The film was written by Roberto Orci with help from Patrick McKay and John D. Payne. J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot andDavid Ellison’s Skydance Prods. will be producing. Orci and Abrams are the producers. Orci was previously said to be directing but has since backed away from that.
