Guests visiting this summer will be able to see a new stage show at the Disneyland Resort. The debut of ‘Mickey and the Magical Map’ was announced by the Disney Parks Blog. This stage show will have Mickey entertaining guests in the revamped Fantasyland Theater, formerly the home of Princess Fantasy Faire.

Here is a brief overview of ‘Mickey and the Magical Map’ as found on the Disney Parks Blog post:

The wise sorcerer Yen Sid tells of a wondrous map – one unlike any other – with the power to take dreamers to any place imaginable. But when young apprentice Mickey Mouse attempts to paint the map’s one unfinished spot, he stumbles into a fantastic adventure through worlds of music, color and beloved characters, as he discovers the mystery of the map’s magic!

Fantasyland Theater was originally the home to Videopolis starting in 1985. During the day Videopolis was used for shows and at night a dance club with over 70 monitors where dancers could see themselves. Through the years, this stage has been the home of shows like Dick Tracy, Disney’s Animazement – The Musical, Snow White: An Enchanting Musical and Princess Fantasy Faire.

DAPs Magic Disney News will report more about ‘Mickey and the Magical Map’ as details become available and will also post coverage of this show on YouTube.
