An Olympic Sendoff at Disneyland

On July 17, 2012 the USA Olympic Volleyball players were given a parade in their honor as they were sent off to London to compete in the Olympic Games. The parade began at Small World and made its way to Town Square. Both the men’s and women’s team were led down the parade route by the 2012 Disneyland All-American College Band. They were also joined by Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Chip, and Dale.  The band played A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.  While passing down Main Street confetti fluttered down on the athletes.
