Welcome to Geeks Corner. I'm Mr. Daps. I'm Katie. And did you know that 35 years ago on
0:24
November 28th, 1995, a Christmas fantasy parade debuted? And it's the longest
0:29
running holiday parade at the Disneyland Resort. Is it the longest? So I know it's obviously the longest running parade at Disneyland Resort. Is it the longest
0:35
holiday parade? Sorry. Because electrical parades the longest running.
0:41
Not consecutive. You could make arguments. Sure. Is it the longest running holiday parade
0:48
period? I don't know. I didn't look it up. Interesting. That would be interesting to know.
0:54
It is. Hm. These are the things I think about cuz I'm like
0:59
I choose that one for that one thing. Yeah. I I We'll get to that. We'll get to that. Keep going. Um
1:05
I Yeah, because I I don't know that Walt Disney World has had a super longunning
1:11
holiday parade. Um I am not en sure that's accurate because
1:16
they've had that one for years that I think has been updated. Is it Very Mary? Is that what they call it?
1:21
I don't know. I I don't know. There's their holiday one as much. So then that'd be our version or their
1:27
version of a Christmas fantasy cuz Christmas fantasy I always say ship of thesis is it even still Christmas
1:33
fantasy because like Yes. Yes, it is. Um
1:39
what I'll come back to this. You probably will. But I will. What should people do, Katie? You should
1:45
subscribe to us here on YouTube or or go to youtube.com/dapsmagic and subscribe
1:51
there if you're somehow not watching this on YouTube or a podcast or something. You should go to patreon.com/dapsmagic.
1:57
Uh we have an aftershow for this show which is really fun and Tiana is being a menace. Um, and you should also go to
2:05
the comments and uh tell me if you think that I should do Tiana's hair like mine with this little like um ponytail on top
2:13
and if we should match um and then you might be featured for comments comments. There you go. Or if you any other
2:19
comments you'd like us to respond to, put them in there and we will hit them towards the end of the show.
2:24
We'd be matching. Thanks, Daddy. Thank you, Mr. Daddy. Thanks, man. Daddy. Thank you, Mr.
2:30
Daddy. Thanks, man. Now, it is our favorite time of the night where we get to talk about Muppets
2:35
this week because we run out of space. It is Gonzo. I think there's like four
2:40
or five more to go. I'm like smaller. Maybe that's what we have to do, but then it might be hard to read or who knows.
2:47
Gonzo this week. Gonzo with the wind. That was a win that we had Gonzo. I
2:53
thought goodness. We're getting closer to the end of this. Who do you think it is going to be this
2:59
coming week? Has Lips been picked? Lips has. Okay. I think we heard Clifford last
3:06
week has not been picked. Okay. I'm gonna go back to Gloria Stefon.
3:12
I like Gloria Stefon. That's good. Let's say Clifford and in Gloria Stefon is yours. Yeah. So, Gloria Stefon was my first
3:19
pick. If you roll back the tapes, first pick I ever had was Gloria Stefon. I'm going to go back to Gloria Stefan,
3:24
which is appropriate because it's Murray's birthday today and he loves Gloria Stefan. So that's I think very
3:31
perfect. Who doesn't? I don't know. Like Gloria Stefan is a very good She's a penguin that drinks martinis.
3:38
Like it is weird though that of all of the penguins
3:44
in the Muppets, suddenly Gloria Stefon looks different than every other one.
3:49
Does she? I think so. I thought she was like every other I don't think so.
3:54
Really? I think she looks a lot cuter. I'm investigating. You can investigate.
3:59
Yeah. So, she is named a Stefan. Mhm. Uh Muppet.
4:06
Yes. Like Cosmic Rewind Conga. Um she is Oh, yeah. Gloria Stefan's like
4:13
a really cute penguin. And do you know
4:18
I remember what she looks like. Do you know who is She is technically a baby penguin, but
4:25
the design's still different. It's an interesting thing. performer was for Gloria Stefon.
4:30
Who? Peter Linds. That makes sense. Yeah. Uh there we go. So, let us know who you
4:35
think the Muppet of the Week will be. We will continue to follow this as long as they continue to do it and then we'll have to find something else to cover at
4:41
the beginning of the show. I don't know. Maybe we'll just go back to moving into the show like we used to. We will see.
4:46
Um, and forty the lore is that um she was uh smuggled from Argentina and she's
4:54
named Gloria Stefon because it was the only Spanish name Miss Piggy could think of. There you go. All right. Today is not
5:00
only Mumy's birthday, as Jenny would say. Yeah. It's also Mickey and Minnie's birthday.
5:06
And as is often the case at the Disneyland Resort, they had a
5:11
cavalcade for Mickey and Minnie's birthday. And this was interesting this year because if you look at this
5:17
picture, you see blue skies. 15 minutes before it was still raining. How hard was it raining?
5:22
Uh for a while it was raining pretty good. Yeah. Like and then so it started raining a
5:27
little bit after 11:30 I want to say at Disneyland and the Cavalcade was supposed to be at 12:15. At exactly
5:35
12:15 from where I was standing in the uh town square, I could still see
5:40
sprinkles coming down decently. And it I I wonder what would have happened if it
5:47
had rained because I don't remember that happening before on Mickey's birthday or Minnie's birthday.
5:52
Yeah. And um and that seems to be a trend that we're having this last week and um but
5:58
it was interesting. So this year I put myself on the southeast corner of uh
6:04
town square because the last few years that's where Mickey and Minnie have been
6:09
with the fire truck fire truck like they stop right there and then the bands behind them and the dapper dance and all
6:16
of that stuff. Well this year completely different. We had Duffy
6:23
in front of us in a car and um and is it Shelly? Shelley May and then next were
6:29
some dancers that were basically all of a third of the street there. And then there was a float with the Dapper Dans
6:35
and I think Chip and Dale on it. Then the Disneyland band almost to the end of the street and Mickey and Minnie stopped
6:44
in front of City Hall. Huh. So, if you look at our multicam video, uh, we were set up perfectly for
6:51
what we thought was going to happen that didn't. And I had to, while filming with
6:57
one hand, whip my phone out and hold it way up and zoom down to the other end of
7:03
town square to try to get anything that was happening because nothing was happening near us. It was a very
7:08
interesting choice to do. Um, I'd be curious what other people think about this because it was definitely
7:15
that's definitely different and the hardest to see them for singing Happy Birthday. Like I would always put
7:20
them in the middle. Like they're the guest of honor. They should be right in the middle. You should have them in the middle of every show stop.
7:27
Like whether it's Main Street, whether it's I don't know if they did Small World or not. I don't remember now. But wherever they stop, they should be in
7:32
the middle so the greatest amount of people can see them. And I and I get the whole like, oh, we're building to the
7:38
climax of Mickey and Minnie's birthday. Does it make sense if it was just a cavalcade? Yeah. If it was, but the moment you do a
7:44
show stop, it changes the name. So, it was an interesting thing. We still saw them. It was still cute. And uh and
7:50
people actually, I will say it was different because of the rain, like the energy
7:55
that's normally for this. Everybody was kind of on the pins and needles like is this actually going to happen? And it
8:02
made for an interesting cavalcade. and and a lot of people weren't prepared for the rain today. Like the rest of the
8:08
weekend, there's been tons of ponchos, tons of umbrellas. Like, people came ready for it. But today,
8:15
there was no rain on the forecast. There were there were some umbrellas, but I didn't see hardly any ponchos.
8:21
There it was. Yeah, the rain was not supposed to happen, but that is why I wore my rain coat. someone I work with,
8:28
um, they drive a soft top convertible and so when it that when there is rain
8:33
in the forecast, they cover the car. This is consistent. And we had just been
8:38
talking about, oh, um, there's no rain in the forecast. And he went, "Yeah, my car is not covered." Because, you know,
8:45
if there's rain in the forecast, I cover my car. Maybe 30 minutes later, it's their fault. The heavens opened.
8:52
Yeah. Um, and we all kind of looked at him. We went, "Do you want to go?" And
8:58
he was like, "Yeah." And so he immediately went and I feel bad. Sorry, Michael. There you go. All right. Well, uh, that
9:04
was Mickey and Minnie's birthday. It's fun and always a highlight of the year.
9:10
Now, wait for the next big thing to happen. And, uh, I'm still waiting for them to turn 100.
9:15
That's going to be soon. Three years. Yeah, that's very soon. Uh, we were speculating about what they might do for
9:20
that. We will see. Uh, Storybook Land reopened this weekend on Friday and in
9:26
between tons of rain coming down, uh, we were able to see it and, uh, go on the
9:33
attraction and get sprinkled on a little bit. And I'm just glad I got to see the ducks in
9:40
the London park. True, true. I really like the ducks of doom.
9:46
I don't I don't know what that the doomsday ducks. I don't know what that park is actually called. the Central Park.
9:51
Yeah. Is that Central Park? I don't know. The one where there's London Park, whatever that thing. Anyways, we we know what you're talking
9:58
about. Giant ducks. Giant ducks of doom. It'd be a really good um uh live action or not live
10:04
action, stop motion. Like, wouldn't that be a funny stopotion pick? I would like that. I think that'd be hilarious.
10:10
Um yeah, that was So, why don't we start the day on
10:17
Friday? Sure. which started with us going to the media event for the um
10:25
for the holidays at Disneyland Resort. This also was the day that Storybook Land was reopening. What was the minor
10:31
technicality with all of this, Katie? Rain. Rain. So much rain. H Okay, that's what I was going to ask.
10:37
It's like how much rain was there? Like I think we got roughly 3/4 of an inch of rain.
10:42
There was a lot of rain. And that's a lot of rain, especially in California, because the thing that people sometimes
10:49
forget about Southern California, mighty ducks. Um,
10:55
I think the thing that people forget is that the infrastructure of Southern California is not built for heavy
11:02
amounts of rain. It is built for sprinkles. Um, so the common question at the media
11:07
event as we're doing these interviews and taking pictures with Mickey and Minnie and three caviaros and Chip and
11:13
Dale and Goofy was, "So, what you doing next?" Mainly cuz everybody was a little bit
11:20
daunted, I'm going to guess, by the rain cuz it was coming down pretty good. And we're like, "Well, we're going to go
11:26
find stuff to cover in the parks." But uh it was very clear by 10 in the
11:32
morning like there was not not going to be a Christmas fantasy parade. There was not going to be uh the Mirabbell's Gifts
11:38
of the Season. There was not going to be the mariachi show. There was not going to be Deadpool. There was not going to
11:44
be um Believe in Holiday Magic. Like it looked like it was all gone. We
11:50
didn't expect to be able to get on this and see this new tower with some really
11:56
cute details. We had been watching it all day and we're like, there's no way it's going to happen. So, it was open in the morning, then
12:02
closed, and then right after the Cabalcade happened in the afternoon. It opened for like 45 minutes
12:09
and uh and then it was closed the rest of the day. Yes. But we got to see it. What did you think of it?
12:14
I really enjoyed it. I also don't go on storybook land um frequently
12:20
for two reasons. One, the entire boat system scares me. Um and two, the entire
12:27
queue scares me. Um it's very tight. So, what did you think of it? But I loved it. I also was just so
12:36
when I'm saying I don't go on story book land very often, I forget how charming the entire attraction is. And I felt
12:42
like the new um Tangled scene completely fits in. Um I also really loved it. Um I
12:49
think it's Cinderella Castle in the background when you're first coming in. Oh, when you're looking at the other direction. Yeah. When you're first
12:55
coming in, it's on the other side and that's not where your attention is, but you see it. It's just beautiful. Um and
13:02
then when we came back around on the other side, like there's so many fun little details for the movie. Um, and at
13:08
no point did I feel like it was out of place or like it didn't fit. Um, I am
13:16
all for um I think that Storybook Land should have uh more stories that
13:21
families recognize together. Um, and I think that yeah, there's there's going to be Frozen. There's going to be uh
13:29
Rapunzel. There's going to be like I love it. I think it's magical. Um, and I
13:35
think the music's really nice. Yeah, and it changes at night. We do a video of both of those up on our YouTube channel. I think it's a very nice thing. I was
13:41
surprised how far away from the bridge it was because the the concept art made it look like it was going to be right up
13:46
next to the bridge. But it's really a good I don't know 12 16 ft out and then there's a path that goes down to the
13:53
little dock thing that they have hanging off the edge which is also cute. Somebody really thought how would you
13:59
get a boat into the water here? And that was impressive. Actually, even looking at the engineering of like, oh, this is
14:06
how the boat would get lowered right here. Like, they did a really good job with that. Music was great. Um, the
14:11
little path where you could see all of the posters, the wanted posters. Flynn Ryder. Great. If you look really
14:18
closely at them, apparently they're each one is different. Um, that might be another
14:25
adventure for us to go at some point and check out. I don't know. Or even take my zoom lens and try to get really up close
14:31
on each of those if we can go fast enough. Try, but it I wasn't fast enough. No, it's hard. Um, but I think it's a nice
14:38
addition. Uh, my only question, and I loved it, was
14:44
did it fit the scale of everything else in the attraction? because I realized
14:51
afterwards I was like I think it felt big to me. Okay. And part of that was just looking as we
14:57
went around the corner, I was like, uh, I don't know. And and I don't know that I would have done it differently anyway.
15:02
It was just one of those things that popped into my head was like, huh, is the scale the same? I don't think it is,
15:07
but who knows? Maybe they did the math and it is. Um, I don't know because right
15:13
immediately after that scene when at the end of the attraction, it is Atlantis and the Little Mermaid. I do think it's
15:19
like to scale with that. The only thing it might not be to sc what?
15:25
Go for it. You disagree with me. That's okay. Yeah. I think it might not be to scale with Cinderella Castle, but that is also because it is a force perspective thing.
15:32
Yes. And so I think that that might be the trick. Anyh who, it might be. It might be. Um Yeah.
15:39
All right. So, as the rain came down, characters were hard to find because they were all hiding places. We did see
15:45
some of them in the media event. Here is what they all look like in their new outfits. We got to meet quite a few of them. I
15:52
have now seen all of them in the quote unquote wild. Um, as I've been walking around the parks the last few days,
15:59
I think as much as I love Mickey and Minnie's outfits, and it is their birthday. There's a clear winner.
16:04
Chip and Dale take the win. So cute. They're adorable.
16:09
Like it was so funny because I I had seen glimpses of the photos like of this
16:14
photo, but I hadn't really studied. I hadn't been like, "Oh, what what is this person wearing?" The second that I saw
16:21
Chip and Dale at the event, I gasped and I wanted to like run over
16:27
to them because it's so fitting and it's so cute. Um I think that Chip and Dale's seasonal
16:34
costumes lately have just been so on point. Somebody's having fun. They're so good.
16:39
It was interesting though that that Mickey and Minnie had longer lines than Chip and Dale. And I guess they're the
16:45
the stars the stars, but it surprised me a little bit. Um, we also got the
16:50
Mickey's Holiday Cavalcade on uh Friday, which was one of the rainy day
16:56
offerings. And I guess we also got the small world uh lighting. That was fun. I love a good rainy day cavalcade. Like
17:04
I think it's one of the most fun slashfunn things you can get. And just because you recognize, especially at
17:11
Disneyland, the rain's impacting everybody. And so they're like, "What do we have?
17:17
Let's put them in anything with a cover." And it's great. We're going to put happy music. They're going to wave.
17:23
Everybody's going to have fun. And it's this little bit of of happy spirit that goes down the parade route out of
17:29
nowhere. And then it's done. And um we saw Santa. We saw Mrs. Claus. We heard Santa. I actually think is more
17:36
important because that's what you see in or hear in a Christmas fantasy is you hear Santa,
17:42
you know, wishing people and he did not have a mic on. He did not. You could hear him laughing. You could hear him yelling Merry Christmas
17:48
because that's the It was great. That's the magic of Christmas. It was and the magic of a good I don't
17:54
know projection. You can only hear Santa if you believe. There you go. Um we did finally get to
18:00
see Santa on Sunday. The uh Christmas fantasy parade finally made it. It's
18:07
exactly the same as last year except it's celebrating its 30th anniversary and 30th year because it missed a year.
18:15
Yeah, that normally there would be one year off and this this way it worked out. It was kind
18:20
of an interesting Forbes 30 under 30. Yeah. Um but this people were waiting
18:26
for actually not as long as I thought. Like an hour out there were still plenty of seats. Really? That's surprising. But 45
18:32
minutes out, everything was packed. Um, and I'm assuming that will only get busier. Love this parade. I'm glad. Keep
18:40
it going. Like, especially the the trumpet players. Well, yes. I think that the toy soldiers
18:48
are like the most magical thing about Christmas fantasy, but also like seeing
18:54
Santa on his um sleigh. I think the reindeer are so fun. Um, there's also
19:00
just something about when you hear the bells and that like counter for a
19:06
Christmas fantasy like that is just Mhm. there is something so
19:12
like that is Christmas to me um at Disneyland specifically. Yeah, I think it's I think as I was
19:18
walking out tonight, you could see how deep the crowds were to watch especially the second in the dark is it's even more
19:25
exciting. But um I do think it's probably one of the most popular parades
19:31
period because I don't know that like I don't know that when we were
19:36
walking out after uh for second granted times are way later
19:41
uh for paint the night that they were that deep of people trying to see it. Like it's popular but I'm I I would
19:48
wonder if if maybe even Christmas fantasy is more popular. opening weekend for paint, I think, cuz this was opening
19:55
weekend for Yeah, but it only gets worse. Like opening weekend's when you go to see this because not everybody's there yet.
20:02
It's going to get worse as the season progresses. Okay. Like that's the hard part with Christmas
20:07
Fantasy Parade. Um, all right. We also saw Disney Viva Na'vi Dodd that is back
20:13
only on Saturdays and Sundays. Remember this. It's that weird sad. It is. Um, especially because it's so
20:18
ridiculously popular. Like people love it and understandably like the music's great, the costumes are fantastic. I
20:25
think they updated them last year and they just look so happy and vibrant and um I kind of wish I hadn't cropped out
20:32
the guy that's on the left of this picture because he was the most excited mariachi guy I think I've ever seen.
20:38
Really fun. We made new friends while we were uh waiting for that. It was a blast. Sunday afternoon we also got
20:47
story time with Deadpool. It's back. Gosh. Um, there's jokes there's jokes made about
20:54
it coming back. Oh, of course. That that like, you know, they'd already overstayed
21:00
their welcome last year. You know, something like that. I do like that his unicorn does have a festive
21:05
Oh, yeah. look to it. Oh, yeah. Um, like it it it's everything
21:11
you remembered it being last year with a few more topical jokes from this year thrown in. and and of course the
21:18
interaction with the crowds or the kids in front or you know like all of that fun stuff. It was great. Um I will be
21:25
curious cuz it had just stopped raining and I think the first two shows didn't happen.
21:31
One show something like that. Um so I was at the first two shows it did end up happening and as you can see
21:38
in this picture the ground is still very wet. So they did not make us sit. So, we were sitting up clo or standing up close
21:44
and not having to sit, which is my dream. And um
21:50
but people didn't show up for it that early either. Like if you got there within 15
21:56
20 minutes, you were fine. Mhm. Whereas previously you had to get there a little bit earlier. So interesting,
22:03
fun. It was great. I'm glad it's back. The real adventure of the night, however, on Sunday was Believe
22:10
and Watertime Magic. No, in holiday magic, but it might have been watertime magic because an hour before the show
22:17
started, it started sprinkling and I was like, "Oh, that's nice." And uh definitely did not have an umbrella or a
22:23
raincoat that day, just a trench coat and my bag. And then by uh about what
22:29
was it, 9:00, full-on pouring to the point where I was
22:35
second row in in front of the walkway. I thankfully when I noticed it was
22:41
starting to rain and the ground getting wet, I basically picked up my backpack and held it between my knees so it' be
22:46
under my jacket, not get like equipment wet and then also not on the ground which was very fortuitous because within
22:54
seconds there was 2 in of water. Holy moly. Remember people blankets? Yeah, people's blankets
23:01
were underwater like because it happened so fast. Holy guacamole. Um, this couple that
23:06
were next to me thankfully picked up their two blankets and they did have an umbrella they were kind of sharing with
23:12
me and this other guy that were just standing there like, "Get in. It's fine." And I was like, "You guys need to you have a baby."
23:20
And we all kind of hung hung out under this umbrella and it kind of worked. But uh, even when the fireworks started, it
23:27
was still raining decently and um, it was an adventure. We have the
23:32
video up. You can see it was gorgeous though because it did reflect off the ground and that was a home run. Like
23:39
that that made it worth it even though drenched, miserable, all of that stuff.
23:44
Yes. Tonight or today I did film Mirabel. I did film the mariachi with uh Miguel.
23:51
That's what they should just call it. Mariachi with Miguel of Christmas because it's a really long name. Um
23:59
Miguel's Merry Christmas mariachi show. I don't know, something short. Um, I
24:05
like that better. But, um, so we have those videos. Those are going up as we speak. I think one did go up, but uh, we
24:11
will have those up and we'll have more to cover. But that's all the big massive things for the holidays. So, what is
24:18
your absolute favorite before we move on? Holiday offering. Maybe it's even gingerbread. Probably
24:24
not. That's probably my mind. But, you know, I did pitch the um I did pitch
24:31
gingerbread at the exit of uh of Haunted Mansion again holiday.
24:38
I would say um a Christmas fantasy.
24:43
It's hard to beat classic. I really do though love when you get the full So, we got B mode of um Believe in
24:50
Holiday Magic and that to me is right up there also. Like I just think that is such a magical That might be my favorite
24:58
fireworks show just because it captures all of the Disney. Yeah.
25:05
Huh. Like I love Remember. I love Wondrous Journeys, Happily Ever After, but it's
25:10
it's hard to beat the nostalgia factor and the snow and all of like they just
25:16
hit all everything I think in some regards with this. It does remind me of you. It's a good show. It's a very good show.
25:22
Very Mr. Um, all right. Speaking of other good shows, we do need to get to these before
25:28
we run out of time, but Taylor Swift, the end of an era. I I said I would get
25:33
Taylor Swift into the show for you, and I did. Um, Taylor Swift, the end of the era, end of an era
25:39
is coming uh next month. I think is it December 12th on Disney Plus?
25:45
The 13th? I think it's the 12th. And uh, what did you think? We got a new trailer this last week. I really loved
25:51
it. Um, mainly because there is something really special about watching
25:58
somebody blossom when they are loved. Um, and I think that, um, not only is
26:05
Taylor loved by Travis Kelce, obviously, but you can tell that, um, she loves
26:10
those dancers and they love her back and they love that like the team loves her and the band loves her and like anybody
26:16
that works on this production really loves her and wants it, wants to make it like successful.
26:22
Um, and so there was just something that made me and yeah, you can be like, "Oh, you're so swifty. You just cry at
26:28
everything." Whatever. I just think there is something really magical about this
26:33
person being able to like live out her wildest dreams and not a ch not a joke
26:39
that was not a pun, but like the that's a Taylor Swift song. Um the like the
26:45
message on the screen or like on the stage every night when she was going up that was like personalized for each
26:51
show. We get to see inside the cleaning cart. Like all of these things. Um, and
26:58
and yes, you can be like, well, Taylor Swift just wants to make money off of people that like her, whatever. I do
27:03
think that there is also this passion that she has for the fans that she does with the love that's given to her. She gives the love back. And I think it's
27:10
super special. I'm so excited to watch this. Like, so excited. It's going to be
27:15
really fun. There you go. I think it's going to be fun just to see behind the scenes. I like a good documentary that you get to
27:23
see how things work. And I feel like that's probably going to be a part of this, whether it's through the systems
27:29
of the social structures of her organization and her support network to oh that's how
27:37
that works, you know? I I think there's going to be a lot of fun things to see in that in terms of um behind the
27:44
scenes. Like that part's cool. Who just wants to see all the guitars? That too. That's great. Or the sound booths would be cool or the lighting
27:51
control. Like there's a lot of cool stuff. There's a lot of cool stuff that they have and um it'll be fun to see and
27:58
it will also be interesting to see the title is the end of an era which it
28:04
really does end like it's kind of that punctuation mark on the era's tour where
28:10
it's like she's put out now it'll be two concert videos from it because they'll have that on Disney Plus as well. And
28:17
then um there's also a rumor in that um in the trailer
28:24
they show concert footage from Red Tour and from Reputation Tour.
28:29
Reputation Tour got taken off of Netflix. Oh, so they think it's coming to Disney Plus or something.
28:34
Part of the Masters deal was that Taylor Swift now owns everything. She owns her videos. She owns her tour
28:40
videos. She owns movies. She owns everything. So it could all end up on Disney Plus potentially. Okay. Uh, it seems like Bob Iger is into
28:47
that. So, could be fun. That could be interesting. But it still doesn't change the the no the statement
28:53
that the name seems perfectly picked that it is the end of an era and the end of the Air Res tour and the next
29:01
whatever that's going to be is going to be very different I would guess and um and probably a little ways off um just
29:08
because her life is about to take a major pivot and it'll be interesting to see what comes next. Um, speaking of
29:15
coming next, we won't need a lot of time on this, but there was a teaser released for Moana, the liveaction version, and
29:22
it's short. You hear I am Moana. Um, you see, well, no, you don't. You see some
29:29
of the main characters. You do see Maui in other form and a silhouette form, but
29:36
you don't really see him, which I think is what everybody's waiting for. like
29:41
like Dwayne Johnson's gonna be hilarious. Like in some ways that's all you need for this movie is is just
29:48
watching them. But um I was impressed with her voice. Like she does a good job. She sounds a lot like the original.
29:55
Yeah. Um it seems like it'll be a lot like the
30:00
original and it'll be fun and it'll be cute. And am I the only one that thinks it's weird
30:05
that we're getting a remake so soon after this came out the first time? It's only 10 years.
30:10
I would say that's probably because of Dwayne Johnson. Sure. I I feel like he wants to do it again
30:17
before he can't. And like I agree with you in general, but um in general.
30:23
Yes. But yeah, you know, it it'll be interesting to see. Yeah. I just I personally I'm like, you
30:30
know, up until now like Aladdin was the most
30:37
like now Stitch. Oh, Stitch. Even then, over 20 years.
30:43
This is going to be roughly 10 years to the day. Mhm. I was like, hm,
30:49
it'll be interesting. We'll see. It's going to be very interesting for sure. Mhm. All right. Well, now it's time for
30:58
Comments. Comments. All right. As I'm looking through the
31:03
comments, I do see a few things here. If you have more that you'd like us to respond to, let us know. Yes, Gloria
31:10
Stefan is technically a baby penguin. Um, Kensington Gardens. I think they
31:16
call it like they call it there's they have a Disney name for it when you're on the it's in our video
31:22
even, but um I'm spacing the name at the moment. It's like London Park. I think it's London Park.
31:28
I think it's I want to say it's London Park. I could um uh there's no AC/DC and no sitar
31:34
player at Disney. That kind of doesn't surprise me because there isn't any performer at um Soma Terrace this year.
31:43
And part of me is grateful for cuz I like to just have my peace and it is packed there. At least I've been
31:49
there or I've walked by there three or four times this week and every day it
31:55
has been packed. Mostly Festival of the Holidays cuz I think one of the more popular booths is right there. Yeah.
32:00
So, um it'll be interesting to see. I do see your dapsmosphere of the Main Street
32:05
Holiday Loop. I'm actually working on that ideally in the rain, Bailey, because I think that'll chase people
32:11
away. I haven't. That was the one I was thinking of. So, um, we will see if we can pull that off. If I do it late
32:17
enough at night, you'll also get a snow moment because I think they do like a 10:30 at night jingle bell snow moment.
32:24
That's not the not the one they do before, believe. And so, that could be fun as well. Um, do we think Moana is
32:33
necessary? No. Will you still watch it and be thinking it is so cute? Yes, says Etsy.
32:38
It's true. I think that's totally it. And I when I saw little baby Moana um with like the
32:44
wave thing, I was like, "Okay, this is adorable." Do I know how I feel about live action Hey, no, I don't. But
32:51
so here's me with that. I saw online everybody hating on it. And
32:58
when I saw it on the teaser, I was like, "Oh, that's not nearly as I was like, if
33:04
you're going to do a a liveaction Heii, that's about what I would expect." Yeah. So, um, yes. Uh, did they
33:11
incorporate the new version or the new verse in Small World Holiday? No, they did not. It's exactly the same as you've
33:16
heard it every other year. Um, and it's beautiful. Like, they did a nice job. Yeah. But, uh,
33:24
I was jokingly disapproving and then I was like, I'm kidding. Oh, okay. I was like, wait, what? Um, I love I just love It's a Small World. I
33:31
love it. Small world holiday. I think it is wonderful and I think it's magical. Um, yeah. I think I think that It's a
33:40
Small World and the lighting every night is one of like the most Christmy things to do at Disneyland.
33:46
No, they do a fantastic job with it. And uh and then you add the rain this weekend, even better. Like that is one
33:52
of the ones that actually get so much better with the rain. So does Main Street in the rain. It's so
33:57
in the castle. Like all the lights do a fantastic job. And there's new lights in uh New Orleans Square and a few other
34:03
places around the park. And uh yeah, that's it. Love it.
34:08
