Tokyo Disney and our recent trip there which uh if this works

with the sound or anything um photos from our trip and uh they might be in order they might not be uh that that

we went to Tokyo Disney we were planning on going for 4 days we ended up going for 5 days just because when your flight

doesn't leave till the evening why not go to Disney the tickets are as cheap as they are and you can you basically the

way we did it is we bought the tickets at the hotel once we checked in yes and you could basically buy one for every

day you were at the hotel including the day you checked out which was awesome so uh so we added the extra day for the day

we were checking out they held on to our luggage and all of that fun jazz you know the one thing that's that we created a problem with with this what my

notes were on my phone which we're using to stream everything with yeah uh so anyway

I think we're going to talk about entertainment first so uh that I believe was the plan uh no parks and theming

okay so let's talk about parks and theming first let's start with Tokyo Disneyland what did you think of this park and its theming tokyo Disneyland

was very beautiful um I was completely

thrown off by the layout the layout did not make sense to me um and I kept

getting really confused um I would be like "Oh so the castle's going to be this way." And then I'd be like "Why is

it over there?" Very turned around um I thought their frontier land was very fun

which was uh Western Land that one's super fun um I think Hungry Bear I'm so

sorry to Hungry Bear here at the Disneyland Resort hungry Bear Tokyo is way cooler because there is like like it

felt like a country bear extension it It felt like you're in like a forest lodge

or an old west lodge of some it was really cool and like they had a a piano that was playing by itself that was

playing a bunch of different old classic kind of like tunes my grandma probably would have played on the piano when I

was a kid dapper Dans yeah that direction like it it had a lot of tunes that Disney fans would recognize but

also some that you wouldn't that were just old probably public domain uh songs

that could be played however you wanted what else do you think of of Tokyo Disneyland itself so Tokyo Disneyland is

also very interesting because is it Tomorrowland there mhm okay i didn't I

didn't know if it's called something else they're currently tearing down Space Mountain which is wild from a

Tomorrowland perspective that's not entirely accurate space Mountain gone they got a new one going

up new Space Mountain is coming um but that's a really wild thing that adds so

much to Tomorrowland in general um not a bad thing i'm just saying that's something kind of weird uh but overall

it feels very magical it kind of feels like Magic Kingdom but very different

from Magic Kingdom so the word I would use okay is disjointed sure it's a very

interesting park because you can tell that they when they're putting it together they're like "Oh we really like this we don't know where it's going to

go so we're going to put Haunted Mansion right next to Small World which is right

next to Critter uh to Splash Mountain yes like it's kind of a weird and their

little mini Critter Country thing um there's also no train no train around the BM no it's it's it's in western land

which it's a great train i love it it's a good train um like Adventureland to me is probably their strongest themed land

just because it but even then it's kind of weird because half of it looks like opening day uh New Orleans Square and

half of it's Adventure Land like it's just kind of an interesting way they've done it and um Tomorrowland is obviously

being reworked so I don't think it's fair to uh to uh analyze that too much

but like when I went before it very much felt like old school Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland from like 20 30 years ago

which I love that vibe so I thought it was fantastic um the best themed area I

think is the Beauty and the Beast village or Bell's Village uh just gorgeous like you you're transported

into a completely different place i guess that in in the Adventureland front or western land area are probably the

two best currently i will say it also works better than New Fantasy Land in my

opinion because Belle's Castle is actually to scale yeah it feels beautiful it feels Yeah it really does

transport you into the story um I thought that Fantasy Land reminds me of

both Disneyland and Magic Kingdoms fantasy lands before they were um transformed or updated pre-80s for

Disneyland yeah pre early 2000s for uh or I guess 2000s for uh was it 2008 they

announced that um for New Fantasy Land but it has some good stuff in there like

uh you know you've got Winnie the Pooh you've got um their small world which is

hilarious right now also that small world has the '9s facade that Disneyland used to have which I think is so

beautiful with a little bit more power to the color yeah it's the colors are a little bit more powerful but no it's

very pretty um anyway theming for Disneyland I think it's got a lot of interesting themes it's got some great

uh um sight lines that are fun to just kind of keep your eyes on as you go through because clearly they've thought

about that and um and I would say it gets a thumb and a half for for theming

like there's a lot of good things but it probably could be more cohesive throughout the entire park tokyo Disney

Se on the other hand is two thumbs up gorgeous like every corner you walk into

is transforming you into another story and um and it doesn't matter where you

go you're going to find a story or an adventure or something that just it

ignites your imagination and it it takes you to a bunch of different places and

and it's a completely different experience if it's raining or if it's sunny um which we learned um what did

you think of overall of Tokyo Disney Sea Theing one of the most stunning parks I have ever been in in my life um I 100%

understand why people will say that it is the greatest Disney theme park in the world um every two seconds I was like

we're in a Disney theme park this one feels like Epcot times 500 uh different

areas of the world and all of them are captured that's like a world showcase part of Epcot yeah all of them are

captured so effectively um it is gorgeous we spent two and a half days at

Disney C and I could have spent like 10 more days and still not found everything

um it is so this is where if you want to argue about sightelines you can argue

about sight lines but this is where I think sightelines really and truly matter because they created a park that

was so large and immersive you're like "Oh I'm in a I'm on a different world

right now." Like even when you can see other worlds off in the distance it still works and and the thing I think

that part can do is turn an average photographer into a great one because you you really like you you almost well

there you can see now like it's almost impossible to not get good pictures just because there's always something to look

at whichever direction you're looking and there is a lot of say it with me folks kinetic energy

um no I think it's it's an absolutely beautiful park um this is to me the

bigger walking park like you're going to walk further uh but it's worth the adventure it's worth going and looking

for these different um attractions and corners in the park and entertainment

offerings and non-entertainment offerings that are entertaining like random guys with a uh trash can a trash

can that has a you know a horn on it and sound effects like hilarious um but like

both parks had a great band which were a lot of fun um we could do an entire episode just on the bands but uh going

back to the theming I thought um every direction you go you see something

amazing um I loved all the hidden details that you can find in Disney Springs you could spend hours literally

just looking at or Fantasy Springs okay u looking at the the the new um rock

work oh my gosh yes and then also like the the pirate ship

and Skull Rock and all of the stuff that's there's just so much to look at and to experience even if you don't go

on the attractions um which you could um if you want to wait in line because they're very popular true uh the

entertainment in the parks I thought was the entertainment they had was fantastic

so I love the Disneyland bands yes or Disneyland band and Disney sea maritime band um we also saw Dreamlight Parade

the Dreamlight Parade was fantastic um the fireworks harmony and color fireworks is super short it's like four

and a half five and a half minutes something like that um it's cute like it's happy it's It's It's not the

greatest fireworks show in the world but it's worth seeing once and the projection show is The projection show

was interesting too and And you get to see Marvel and I think Star Wars was in it too do I remember that no I don't

think so no I think it was just I think it's just Marvel now that thinking about it um I'm getting uh Tapestry of

Happiness in my head that's val um but it had Marvel in it and it had some lower level fireworks and the

projections looked really nice um I don't know that it's the best projection show I've ever seen and um but the

projections are very well done yeah they're very crisp it looks awesome um but if you're choosing between waiting

for that and you didn't maybe get Jungle Cruise in or

Beauty and the Beast if it's still open like they do close some of the attractions early so keep your keep your

eyes on that like do the ones that are really important to you earlier in the day um just because you might miss out

otherwise uh but I would love to say that Dreamlight Parade um I was sobbed

like an absolute baby um it is like Main Street Electrical Parade but the next

generation and not the next generation in like the paint the night sense in the We're going to be the Main Street

Electrical Parade but the lights are a little bit more vivid and bright and they aren't bulbs they're they're LEDs

or whatever beautiful stunning so well done um I really I we watched it twice i

cannot say enough how much I loved it and then there was also Believe Sea of Dreams over at Disney Sea which is also

beautiful and fantastic show we saw one and a half times yes because it stopped midway through on a very rainy night um

also one of the greatest nighttime spectaculars i think it's fantastic yeah um I would if I was like prioritizing

things I would for sure see Dreamlights i would for sure see Disney uh uh Believe It yeah and that's up there with

like original World of Color for me okay yeah like and Original World of Color is

like she is that girl to me and she always will be that girl but Believe is

it has big hits like it has some Disney renaissance it has some new Pixar

favorites um and it's got all of the emotional beats for a nighttime spectacular yeah so those are the two if

you're not going to hit any other entertainment stuff those are the two to hit um I would use I think it's called

the Premier Access yes um I would use that for both of those and I would also grab those first thing in the morning

you can grab other shows too um I personally would like you can it just

you've only got so much time and and so uh we filled up our time parks are only open 12 hours yeah and we filled up our

time both days in each park so two for each park and then a third for Disney C

um without doing all of like the stage shows and stuff which could have been fun too but I I don't think they were

the highest priority unless you're super into seeing uh Disney characters dancing on stage um the attractions what were

your top three attractions for each park okay so Disneyland I'm going to say

Beauty and the Beast yeah unsurprisingly in first spot uh

probably probably uh Pooh's Honey Hunt um and I'm actually going to say this is

really hard i'm actually probably going to say it's a Small World because of the Groot

overlay which is done at the end of the month but um but it's so good they did a

really nice job with it and it was very I'm going to almost say funny like Groot's in so many of the different

scenes and doing different things like it's it's very cute they didn't oddly

enough I think they're showing pictures right now um I also think though that it's like even you take the Marvel stuff

out of it there are so many more Disney characters than in the Disneyland or

Walt Disney World versions of the attractions um that it was actually really crazy going on it for the first

time with this Marvel overlay cuz not only are there way more Disney characters than I'm used to but there's

also now Thor and Ant-Man and Nebula the

funniest one though is Thor because uh they're in the rainforest scene and it's

I'm gonna say borderline it's for sure rock music version of it's a Small World

playing with the Thor theme I think so good but it's a little bit almost heavy metal like it was hilarious if you get

the chance go on it before the end of month if you don't watch our video um it's definitely worth checking out my

top three would be Beauty and the Beast uh Pooh's Honey Hunt and I think I'm actually going to go with Jungle Cruise

that was a really hard one yeah it's got a soundtrack it's got um some really cool effects that I'm not going to give

away if you haven't been there and you haven't seen it yet and then the Jungle Cruise Skipper every time I've done it

the Jungle Cruise skippers have so much energy and they're just hilarious yeah i have no clue what they said we were

having fun but they're having fun the people like there's call and response that I don't know what's going on but

everybody else seemed to and they're responding and um and then there it's just it's just hilarious and it's good

both at day and at night so like there's different effects at night than you see

during the day and I actually think so some ways it's better during the day because you can see things easier sure

at night there's way more effects and so it adds a different vibe to it so it's definitely worth doing at night as well

uh okay yeah let's What were your top three for Disney 3 disney C again this

probably isn't in order but I don't know uh Journey to the Center of Journey to the Center of the Earth really okay yes

i really loved Journey uh Tower of Terror mhm and Indiana Jones

okay uh mainly theming theming theming like the theming

is Yeah I agree with that crazy especially for Tower by far to me like

the spookiest creepiest tower that there is mhm and and Journey to the Center of

the Earth is kind of a middle version of uh Test Track versus uh Racers Radiator

Springs Racers and uh but it's fun it's fun it's short though so don't wait too long in it um the my top three is going

to be probably Tower of Terror okay uh Sinbad's Voyage okay yeah and I'm

actually going to surprise myself as I'm thinking this through it might be the Frozen Ever After cuz I

thought it was so good it's it's a huge improvement over the one at Epcot and

it's it still uses some surprising technology in it that's similar to Epcot um and so it's just that next level and

it's fun to see how they plus that up um Indiana Jones will be right there too i thought it was interesting because the

facade for the front of Indiana Jones you could very much imagine being the facade for the Indiana Jones going to

Disney's Animal Kingdom yeah like they look very I'm like "Oh you just add this thing." Like I could see I could see

maybe um uh the Indiana Jones here being like a

prototype or a entry level like this is where we're starting so we're not coming with blank paper and then going on um I

resonate with that Kevin because I have wanted to go on 20,000 leagues every time I've been there and it has been

closed completely different times of years and both times it's it literally

closes right before I got there both times uh who was I just It just doesn't like Who was I just talking to but they

were like "Yeah and they have 20,000 leagues." And I was like "Yeah we we couldn't we couldn't do it we really

wanted to." Um and I do think there's definitely perks to going at different times of year so I went to Disney Sea in

November and Disneyland in December last time this time both were in June and it

was fun to see the Halloween and Christmas stuff because I kind of saw that the the transition for Disney C

from Halloween into holidays and um so that was fun to see it was also busier

than I feel like whereas this time because of the weather being so

unpredictable because it's kind of the rainy season it was not as busy i didn't feel Yeah um

then uh favorite food for each park you could just say what your one or two favorites were uh my favorite food at

Tokyo Disney C was the food at the Indiana Jones restaurant oh okay that curry that we

got uh it was like a curry on rice there was like a runny egg honestly curry

everywhere in the parks was good and I feel like at Hungry Bear was also the curry yeah Disneyland that was very good

too they have the Mickeyshaped egg with the curry at Tokyo at Hungry Bear in Tokyo Disneyland yeah you can't go wrong

with the curry it seems like anywhere like it was all good um not too spicy it was It was delicious um I was going to

go with the Guyoza Dog oh man yeah in Disney Sea especially on a rainy day amazing um not necessarily a perfect

guzza dog but it's delicious it's so good and then the other thing I really liked at Disney C was and I'm can't

believe I'm saying this is the uh creme brulee churro oh my gosh and it's

basically a churro with the creme brulee stuff in the middle and And that was delicious and if they have it grab it

and then go back and get another one it's one of the few times I'm going to be like "Oh yeah i want a sweet in a

like He doesn't get sweets i don't get churros i don't usually get like I'll get ice cream on occasion but like most

of the time that's not my thing for in the parks and that one I we had it twice uh two days in a row yeah um and I would

have done it every day if I could have i will say don't go after the western food at Tokyo Disney so yeah the west they

haven't like if you're expecting normal hamburgers they're not quite what you would expect so I wouldn't um I wouldn't

go for your normal like hamburger station or hot dogs i haven't tried the hot dogs my sister did she was not a

huge fan of them and and then the hamburgers like they're they're okay but they're not they're not what you're

expecting for oh I just wanted a cheeseburger like it's it's not your normal and then the other thing I will say just cuz I feel like this needs to

be notated for people that maybe pick your eaters um modifying food is not a

thing um so if you're great at it is once it's on your plate well yes if

you're good at scraping things off which I am um super easy but uh specifically

with Western food I'm very picky i I don't want a lot of more interesting things um and this is this goes for when

I'm here this I'm fairly picky um so modifying food is a little bit of a challenge if you're like "Oh well I'll

just take the lettuce off." If if you're mobile ordering that is not an option it is kind of considered rude in Japanese

culture to modify food so just putting it out there uh my favorite food at Disneyland was probably at Oh gosh now

I'm actually going back and forth so what was a restaurant we had on

street bazaar not Sakura maybe might have been um either that or I really

liked uh we had a steak and whatever at uh like it was their steak dish at Blue

by that was delicious i'm I'm gonna give that one the lead just because I can remember the whole thing and I liked the

entire meal in its entirety better than the one on World Bizaar because the dessert was interesting blue Bayou was

so good blue Bayou was lovely there it was quiet it was relaxing it was service

was incredible it was the Blue Bayou I remember growing up with like it it just nailed like they nailed it um we stayed

at the Disneyland Hotel the entire Tokyo Disneyland Hotel I should say the entire time we were there in fact that's a view

from one of our rooms um you could get different levels and versions of rooms

that that uh change how high up you are and where you face and and things like that um we had two standard park view

rooms for most of the trip and then we also had a uh Tinkerbell room that I think was I think they called it um was

it Supreme it was premium premium I think and um and I think the character

rooms that have character in their titles tend to have a lot more updates

and Disney flourishes found throughout them like there's Disney everywhere at

least at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel but the character rooms definitely are to

the extra mile and we'll have pictures up like of those fairly soon there was a giant leaf blanket that you could just

like be like "Oh I'm sleeping under a leaf cuz I'm Tinkerbell." Whereas the the standard one was more um traditional

i almost want to say I was showing talking to Johnny and it was kind of grand fidian old school yeah very nice

views are beautiful the rooms are very comfortable um they give you like cups and little amenity tins and toothbrushes

and bags like they're very generous and hair brushes wild and I think you're

probably okay so depending on which hotel you're staying in you also do get early entry into parks so uh just look

at what park you get early entry for while you're there when you're um you're
27:11
booking your parks because it does change throughout the year um there's a Sherin across the street that a lot of

people swear by um I personally liked that extra 15 minutes to get to Disneyland because that made all the

difference in the world and um so I would stay probably on property again

and I would the only one I wouldn't stay at I think is the Celebration Hotel

because that one's about 20 minutes by bus to get to the resort well all of the other ones are within either walking or

Montreal distance um there's also a Hilton there that's that's walking distance Montreal distance and also the

Montreal is amazing it's amazing guys yeah it's it's a true like it's it's a

way to get around it's transportation it's It's more like Florida in that regard um but even more so like I feel

like it's the next level of what they had in Florida it is it is welcome to Geeks Corner Plus thank you Clocky um

but like it it uh staying on property it's it's a little bit more but the

perks also just like you're guaranteed to get into the parks every day you stay the Oh when you change rooms you just

called them up and you're like "Hey my bags are in the corner take him to my next room and they would take your stuff to the next room and put it in the

corner like it was even if you had stuff in the fridge cuz we were like which might have just been somebody being nice like that's not what they promised to do

but they would do that but we were shocked because we're like the stuff in the fridge won't come over sure did i

was shocked cuz we would get pastries at the cone beanie when we were not at Tokyo Disney but we would also do

pastries at uh Looking Glass gifts and we would take them up to the room and

the cast members were very lovely and they moved them and I was so grateful for that cuz I was like "Ah dang."

That's including the fancy water yeah it was great um how many days do you think is the

perfect amount of time to stay and if you have questions about Tokyo Disney now's the time to throw them in there because we'll get to those in just a

always the hot topic the how many days four so exactly what our plan was yes

you don't think the extra fifth i think if that's available to you great but I think to have a really good

understanding of what Tokyo is I think four days and I think I think that's a good if you have the time do it yeah

like go for the four if you're only in there for let's say in Japan for six or seven days I would probably actually say
