It's an exciting day.
0:06
Yes.
0:07
Tell us how you're feeling.
0:08
I'm so elated. Yeah,
0:10
I'm so elated. I'm I'm just so happy to
0:13
be here and happy to be here with
0:14
Michelle to get to represent all of our
0:16
cast members.
0:17
Yeah, just beyond excited. I I don't
0:19
have a lot of words because I think I'm
0:21
still in shock a little bit. Just to
0:22
hear our names called was like,
0:25
"Wow, I I it it's it's us. It's us.
0:27
We're here."
0:28
Yeah. And as part of this process, you
0:30
you spent some time with your fellow
0:32
finalists and Raul and Jada. What's that
0:34
experience been like for you?
0:35
Oh my god, it was so supportive. Raul
0:37
and Jada and everybody that is part of
0:39
this program has been so supportive
0:41
offering us feedback, offering us to
0:43
just be there for us. And really, we
0:45
truly felt like the care and love uh
0:49
that is coming from this team that makes
0:51
me really want to be on this team. And
0:52
I'm so glad that I get to be part of the
0:54
team.
0:54
Yeah. I mean, it's never felt like we
0:57
were in competition. It's always been so
0:59
supportive from day one. From learning
1:01
out who put in their applications to who
1:04
got their first interview, everybody has
1:06
been
1:06
a big cheerleader. And that's I think
1:08
something special about this process.
1:10
It's never about like, oh, I I'm going
1:12
to do this. It's everybody wants you to
1:14
win and everybody wants everybody else
1:16
to be there. So, Jada and Rule, they
1:17
just completely supported us, made us
1:20
feel at home like we were already part
1:21
of the team. Can you talk about what it
1:23
means to you to be this ambassador team
1:26
as it's going into the 60th anniversary?
1:28
Yeah.
1:29
Uh for for me I I you know I always say
1:32
like I am a product of my parents. My
1:34
parents immigrated here from Mexico and
1:36
I'm their American dream and that's what
1:38
this signifies for me is that I get to
1:40
make them proud and they get to see
1:43
their daughter out in the world
1:45
representing them and that just fills me
1:48
with such joy.
1:49
Yeah. For me, it's I started working
1:52
here when I was very young, just out of
1:54
high school. And this is where I learned
1:55
how to be me. Like, I learned how to be
1:57
an adult here. I learned hard work. I
1:59
learned the importance of those that
2:01
come before you and honoring them. And I
2:03
think for this 60 years of the
2:04
ambassador program, just hope that I'm
2:06
going to do everybody proud. I'm going
2:07
to do the best that I can. We're going
2:09
to have so much fun and hopefully make a
2:11
big impact.
2:12
Yeah.
2:13
And as is tradition, every year they
2:16
recall the ambassadors of the past and
2:19
long after your time as ambassadors is
2:20
over. You will always be part of that
2:22
tradition. And what's it like to be
2:24
part? You got to spend some time with
2:25
some former ambassadors. What's it like
2:27
to be part of that legacy?
2:28
That was so special. It's really felt
2:30
like such a warm hug from all the former
2:32
ambassadors and to be part of that team
2:34
is such an incredible honor and
2:36
privilege. Uh just seeing them and
2:38
seeing how excited they get for us.
2:41
It just it it warmed my heart so much
2:43
and they're so nice and it's such an
2:46
incredible experience.
2:47
Yeah. I felt like I was already part of
2:48
the family. Like it was just a big
2:50
family reunion and we were like the
2:52
little sisters that just just came out
2:54
for the first time. Um but everybody was
2:56
just so so warm and welcoming. Hugs all
3:00
around. Um I like to get a lot as many
3:02
hugs as possible. So it felt really
3:03
good.
3:04
Very fair. Uh what are you most looking
3:06
forward to in the next couple of years?
3:08
Oh my god. I'm looking forward to really
3:11
being a vessel of inspiration and
3:13
positivity for our cast. uh that really
3:17
need somebody to listen and I'm excited
3:19
to offer that to them and really be a
3:21
champion and a cheerleader for them.
3:23
Yeah, I'm just looking forward to
3:24
telling people stories. So, our our
3:26
resort has been here for 70 years. It's
3:28
going to be here for 70 years more at
3:30
least and just inspiring cast members to
3:33
really take pride in what we do every
3:35
day. We get to come out here and our
3:37
main goal is to make everybody happy and
3:39
I I don't know where else you can do
3:41
that. So, just to highlight what
3:42
everybody does, the little things every
3:44
day. Uh that's what I'm looking forward
3:45
to and just making sure we have great
3:47
partnerships with our community as well.
3:49
And speaking of community, you know,
3:51
we're in the process of selecting
3:52
ambassadors around the world to meet at
3:54
Walt Disney World.
3:55
Are you excited to connect with your
3:56
your peers across the globe?
3:59
Absolutely. So I uh anytime there was an
4:02
announcement, I was on there like
4:04
congratulations from from the Disneyland
4:06
uh finalists, like always congratulating
4:08
them and a couple of them sent me
4:10
messages of support as well. So, the
4:11
fact that there's already that
4:13
camaraderie and that family sense, I'm
4:15
so excited to get to meet the rest of
4:17
the Global Ambassador family and get to
4:19
spend that time with them.
4:20
Yeah, it's been really special. I mean,
4:21
social media is really great. It's a
4:23
great opportunity to reach out to people
4:25
that are across across the globe. So, I
4:27
know I've talked to some of the semi-
4:29
finalists for Disneyland Paris that are
4:30
now finalists and the Walt Disney World
4:33
finalists and it's like everybody just
4:35
is like, "You got this. You got this.
4:37
You're here for a reason. Just remember
4:38
to be you." That is the best advice that
4:41
I could give. That was the best advice
4:42
given to me and I'm so excited to see us
4:44
all come together.
4:46
Speaking of advice, we both have viewers
4:48
that are watching of all ages.
4:50
If there's an aspiring Disney cast
4:53
member, maybe even Disney ambassador
4:55
someday that's watching this right now.
4:57
What would each of you tell them?
4:58
Be yourself. Be authentically yourself.
5:02
Be silly. Be quirky. Be yourself.
5:04
Because that is what brought us here is
5:07
being ourselves. Uh Jada and Raul told
5:09
us from the very beginning, it's hard to
5:11
be somebody you're not for two years. So
5:13
being ourselves got us here and being
5:15
yourself will get you so far in life. Uh
5:18
and surround yourself with people that
5:21
will take on that that will want to be
5:23
by you because you're yourself. And I
5:25
would say to someone who maybe wants to
5:27
be a cast member, wants to be a Disney
5:29
ambassador, don't give up. It might not
5:32
happen the first time, but when it's
5:34
right, it'll happen. You're exactly
5:35
where you're supposed to be. It may be
5:37
another opportunity that's opening the
5:39
door for you and it may be just a few
5:40
more years before you get your chance to
5:42
be um here in this family. Never give
5:46
up.
5:47
Thank you.
5:48
Thank you. Thank you.
