Walls have gone up around more of the ticket booths in the Esplanade at the Disneyland Resort. Two ticket booths are now cordoned off on the Disneyland side of the Harbor Boulevard end of the Esplanade. This comes ahead of work getting underway on a new parking lot and Esplanade entrance on the east side of the Disneyland Resort. Ultimately, this will see guests being able to arrive at the Disneyland Resort in a smoother way when the project is complete.
As things gear up for this new arrival experience to come to life, the walls come ahead of the demolition of these ticket booths. In the coming years, this whole area will be transformed with the new arrival experience and eventually the expansion of Disney California Adventure behind the current Hollywood Backlot area to accommodate the Avatar experience.
Daps Magic team member Steven visited the Disneyland Resort on Wednesday morning and took the following photos and video of this next step in the process of this project:

These ticket booths were built nearly three decades ago when Disneyland was becoming the Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure was built. While they were once busy with guests purchasing tickets to visit one park or the other (or both), in recent years they have been used less and less. As ticketing has gone online and digital, there has been fewer needs for ticket booths. In recent years, the ticket booths have been used for accessibility services and special events.
