Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 34th anniversary today. As part of the celebration, Disneyland Paris has made announcements about the future. This includes news about entertainment, attractions, and more! One of the announcements revolved around an attraction inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ Up. This attraction, which looks a lot like Disney California Adventure’s Silly Symphony Swings, will be found in Disney Adventure World along Adventure Way. The attraction will be called Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings. It is set to open in Disney Adventure World in 2027.
Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings promises to be both charming and nostalgic. More was revealed about the attraction ahead of its debut. It will be found across from Raiponce Tangled Spin. Work is already well underway on the new attraction.

The name of the attraction comes from the club of young adventurers that Russell belongs to in Up called the Wilderness Explorers. In the story for the attraction, guests are invited to join this adventure to earn their ‘Aviation’ badge. As they do, they will be immersed in the world of Up along with its unforgettable soundtrack. They will also get to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

This attraction will be a family-friendly one that offers a new take on the ‘flying chair carousel.’ This is an attraction that has been traditional in theme parks for over a century. This particular flying chair carousel will include 64 places and 48 chairs. There will be several ‘duo chairs’ that allow guests to ride in pairs. As the attraction spins, the dome above it tilts. This will intensify the feeling of flight and bring dynamic movement along Adventure Way.
The attraction’s architecture will be a blend of Art Nouveau and industrial touches. This will include wrought iron arches that evoke characters from the film. There will also be balloon and cloud motifs. The top of the attraction will feature a golden spike that represents Carl and Ellie’s famous house, while also echoing Pascal’s silhouette that is found atop of Raiponce Tangled Spin. Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings promises to fit into the world of Adventure Way seamlessly when it opens in 2027.

The spirit of adventure of Russell, Carl, Ellie, and other friends from Up will be celebrated at Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings. The queue will be organized into four zones, each representing a key moment in the film. They will feature decorative banners and iconic props. This will include Carl’s childhood aviator helmet and goggles, and also Ellie’s adventure book.
The new attraction will also be at the heart of a new themed garden that will be inspired by Up. This will allow guests to stroll and explore a lush, plant-filled world before they set off to discover the other immersive worlds of Disney Adventure World.

Work officially began on Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings in November 2025. It will be completed by 2027 when this attraction opens at Disney Adventure World.
