The Disney Adventure is currently on its maiden voyage. The newest and largest ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet is sailing out of its home port in Singapore on a three-night cruise. One of the highlights of a Disney cruise is the fact that they do fireworks at sea. In fact, this is the only cruise line that does this. For the maiden voyage, the fireworks were on the second night of the cruise. Generally, fireworks are a part of “Pirate Night.” For the Disney Adventure, Disney did something different. Instead of going with the Pirates theme, there is a new fireworks show called The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky. This is a tribute to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King and its characters. It includes new arrangements of favorite songs from the film.

A dear friend of Daps Magic is aboard the maiden voyage for the Disney Adventure. He took the following video of The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky. This is the first performance of this show on a paying cruise aboard the Disney Adventure.

The songs in this show are performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with the unique voices of the Ndlovu Youth Choir from South Africa. It is narrated by internationally acclaimed star and entertainment icon Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh Khan voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language version of Disney’s The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024).

The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky is a brand new experience and is now available on select nights during the three- and four-night voyages aboard the Disney Adventure.
