Throughout the Disneyland Resort, work can often be seen done. Traditionally, work was done on attractions and buildings during the “off season.” In recent years, there hasn’t been a traditional “off season” and work has been seen at many different times of the year. This year, in a more traditional “off season” time of year, scrims have gone up around buildings on the northwest block of Main Street, U.S.A.
Work is evidently being done on the outside of these buildings that start with the Carnation Cafe and continues up to the Refreshment Corner, where the ragtime piano player can often be found tickling the ivories. Signs along the temporary walls outside the buildings indicate that the businesses inside are open. Below are photos taken by the Daps Magic team of what the area looks like.

Work like this happens every once in awhile and keeps Main Street, U.S.A. looking pristine for those who visit The Happiest place on Earth! Previously, projects like these have led to slight changes in paint color or small enhancements. Generally there aren’t any major changes, however.
What do you think of this project happening on Main Street U.S.A.? Are you excited to see what the completed project looks like? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
