Bluey Fans Swarm to Disneyland for Bluey’s Best Day Ever!

Sunday March, 22, 2026, was the first day for Bluey’s Best Day Ever! It also was the first day in a very long time that fans could be waiting in a line that stretched through the park to experience something offered at the Fantasyland Theatre. From before the park opened, fans could be seen wearing Bluey merchandise on the streets around the Disneyland Resort, in the parking structure, on the trams, and ultimately in Disneyland itself.

Shortly after the opening of Disneyland at 8:00 AM, fans could be seen lining up for Fantasyland Theatre. Within a half hour, the line stretched to the Storybook Land Canal Boats. By 8:30 AM, the line began to move as groups were moved forward and into the traditional queue area for Fantasyland Queue. As the line move forward, however, it didn’t get shorter. More and more guests continued to hop in the queue, hoping to experience the first day of Bluey’s Best Day Ever!

Fantasyland Theatre opened for the guests waiting in line a little bit after 9:00 AM. Once again, guests were moved forward in waves of groups. Presumably, this was to not overcrowd or overwhelm any one area of the theater. The nearby Troubadour Tavern, which is serving Bluey-themed treats, was serving guests from a different queue than those entertains the theater, with a rope separating the two groups. As guests made their way into the theater, some headed straight for the stage. Others headed for the merchandise kiosk. At 9:15 AM, when the Daps Magic team made it into the theater itself, there was still approximately half of the seats still available. A bulk of these would be filled by bottom of the hour when the first show began.

The first Bluey’s Best Day Ever! Show began around 9:30 AM, with two entertainers coming out before the full show with Bluey and Bingo began. In its entirety, the show ran for about 40 minutes. Throughout this time, families could be seen bobbing along to the music, taking videos, dancing, and experiencing this happy new offering. There were moments throughout the show that got cheers, others where people sang along, and other moments when people were encouraged to dance. The trick with the dancing was that many adults were also trying to either stay close to their kids or be as close to the stage as possible so that they could also see the show.

Following the first show, the theater quickly emptied out. Some families stayed and played. Others could be seen taking photos. The bulk, however, left the area. This was a good thing as there was quite the queue that had grown during the morning. One friend of Daps Magic reported that they were standing in line by the restrooms near Alice in Wonderland. Ultimately, it took them approximately two hours to make it into the Fantasyland Theatre.

As the morning went on, the queue continued to extend. At one point, it reached as far as the entrance to the Hub from Matterhorn Way. At this point, it seemed that the line kept ebbing and flowing. It never seemed to go all the way into the Hub but instead would get shorter and then extend back to the Hub again every few minutes. By the calculations of people in line, it seemed like the queue was extending between two and three hours long.

As the day moved on, the operations were modified. Those on the floor were asked to sit for the show to provide better viewing for everyone in the theater. The line to get into the Fantasyland Theatre was also cut off before noon. This led to the show times being taken off of the app and the showtime sign being taken down from the front of the theater. Shortly after, the queue reopened and guests again could wait to see Bluey, Bingo, and the rest of the fun offerings at the Fantasyland Theatre. It was again closed presumably to be opened again for guests to enjoy the area after the final show.

Ultimately, the first day of Bluey’s Best Day Ever! Turned out to be a popular one for Bluey fans. There were a lot of families with fans of all ages waiting in line. There were a lot of smiles. A lot of green tongues (one of the treats at Troubadour Tavern WILL give you a green tongues), and a lot of happy memories made. If today is any indication, Fantasyland Theatre is going to be a very busy place for the foreseeable future!

Takeaways from the first day of Bluey’s Best Day Ever!

  • This is a big attractor for families. While it may not look like a lot of kids in photos, it’s because they were shorter. Most of the people around me were with families with young kids.
  • The queue gets long but for the most part, it continued to move.
  • Cast members were fantastic. They were organized, friendly, and really made the day work really well.
  • This will be popular, expect a wait.
  • Some things will probably end up changing. By later shows in the day, the floor became a sitting area. It is possible there will be other changes in the coming days, weeks, and months.

As with all things that are very popular at the Disneyland Resort, expect things to have some hiccups. There are a lot of variables with a lot of people for this new offering. Bring patience and grace when visiting Fantasyland Theatre in the near future. It will make the experience better for everyone!
