New Audio-Animatronic Figures to Debut in Epcot’s Frozen Ever After on February 12th

EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After is getting some of its Audio-Animatronic figures updated. Currently, the attraction is closed while the updates are put in place. When it reopens, Anna and Elsa will look better than ever before in the Walt Disney World Resort attraction. The attraction is set to reopen with the enhanced figures on February 12, 2026.

Last year it was announced that the attraction would be getting the updated Audio-Animatronics. They will be all-electric and also combine electric motors and 3D printing. This is technology that first debuted in the Hong Kong Disneyland version of the attraction. At the time of the announcement, Disney said that one of the hardest part of making the updated figures was Elsa’s wrist. Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics will all be receiving the updates.

The changes to the attractions come as the Disney Experiences segment of The Walt Disney Company is seeing a significant investment of $60 billion. The segment has also been the most profitable in the company in recent years. This has led to current Disney CEO Bob Iger and future Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro to see the value of investing in the parks, resorts, and ships.
