On March 24, 2026, the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special will be arriving on Disney+. This comes exactly two decades after the series originally aired on the Disney Channel.
This is a special that will be filmed in front of a live studio audience. It will feature an exclusive, in-depth interview with Disney Legend Miley Cyrus and be hosted by Alex Cooper. Disney shared that the conversation will give an intimate look at the creation of one of pop’s most iconic characters. It will also explore the lasting impact of the show and the character on fans globally. This will be a special that is full of heartfelt nostalgia and also offers a fresh perspective on the show twenty years later. Miley Cyrus will revisit the moments, music, and memories that defined an era.
There will be footage that has never been seen before included in this special. There will also be some of the most memorable sets from Hannah Montana that will be brought back to life. This includes the Stewart family living room and the legendary Hannay Montana closet. On top of that, there will also be some familiar *notes* that make their way back into the spotlight…

Hannah Montana became a global phenomenon two decades ago and built up one of Disney’s most passionate fandoms. It reshaped kids’ television, influenced music and fashion, and launched the career of a generation-defining pop star. The Emmy-nominated series led to 14 platinum and 18 gold albums globally. It was also followed by two feature films.

Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special is being produced by HopeTown Entertainment and Unwell Product. Ashley Edens is the showrunner, with Miley Cyrus, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, Alex Cooper, and Matt Kaplan as executive producers. Alex Cooper is also hosting the special and guiding Hannah Montana fans through this anniversary celebration.
Ahead of the arrival of this special, fans of Hannah Montana can check out and enjoy the Hannah Montana Collection on Disney+. Starting on February 19th, there will also be a non-stop Stream that features all four seasons of the show, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds Concert. To date, the Hannah Montana catalogue has already amassed over half a billion hours streamed globally to date on Disney+.
