Disney Adventure Arrives in Tokyo Ahead of Maiden Voyage in Singapore

The Disney Adventure continues its global cruise on its way to Singapore. After recently stopping in Los Angeles, the newest ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet has arrived in Tokyo, Japan.

The arrival of the Disney Adventure comes after a two-week voyage across the Pacific Ocean. This included the crossing of the International Date Line. When it arrived in Tokyo, it was welcomed with a special drum ceremony at the pier.

The arrival of this massive Disney ship in Tokyo puts the ship into the final chapter of its nearly two-month voyage. Ultimately, it will culminate with the ship’s arrival in Singapore for its maiden voyage next month.

Along with arriving in Tokyo, the Disney Adventure also had its godparent announced. The Disney Cruise Line revealed that Robert Downey Jr. will be the godparent for this ship.

Throughout this journey, the crew of the Disney Adventure has been hard at work to ensure that every detail is ready for guests when they board. This includes finishing up the final touches, final rehearsals, and even special experiences that are being prepared for families to enjoy. Throughout the ship, excitement has been building as the ship gets closer to its maiden voyage and home port in Singapore.

The maiden voyage is set to depart on March 10, 2026. When this ship officially joins the Disney Cruise Line fleet, it will be the largest. It was originally being built for another cruise line, but Disney ended up purchasing the partially built ship and reimagining it for the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Following the maiden voyage, the Disney Adventure will offer three- and four-night itineraries.

Disney Adventure is divided into seven areas, inspired by the stories of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. The areas include Disney Imagination Garden, Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing, and Toy Story Place. This will see a wide range of Disney stories coming to life, including Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Moana, multiple Disney Princess stories, and more!
