Change is coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Some of this change will come in the form of the expanded timeline. Other changes will come in the form of the refurbishment of a very popular attraction. Walls went up around Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. This is the first time that guests saw walls around these two places in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge since the land opened in 2019.

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on Tuesday and took photos and the following video of the walls that have arrived on Batuu. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance isn’t changing for the expanded timeline. It is getting some regular maintenance and attention to maintain the attraction and keep it incredible for guests for years to come. Oga’s Cantina is also believed to be undergoing a routine refurbishment as well. During this time, some updates will be made to the cantina ahead of the land’s timeline expansion. Currently, it isn’t known when either Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or Oga’s Cantina will be reopening. The Disneyland calendar shows both to be closed as far out as it goes. However, the Disneyland calendar is not always accurate in cases like this. Both the attraction and the cantina may open before the end of the current calendar’s run. Jat Kaa’s Coolers is also being refurbished.

Other areas in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be seeing changes in the coming months. This comes ahead of the timeline for the land expansion on April 29, 2026. At this point, there will be some changes in shops, new characters, and new eras represented. The Star Wars music of John Williams will also be added to the land.
