Rencontre Royale - World of Frozen

Step Into ‘Frozen’ Story When Meeting Anna and Elsa at Disney Adventure World

In just 60 days, Disney Adventure World will debut at Disneyland Paris. This marks a milestone in the history of Disneyland Paris as this park transforms from Walt Disney Studios to Disney Adventure World. With this transformation of name also comes a transformation of focus. Where in the past, the focus was on movies and movie-making. The focus in the future will be on the many different adventures that can be experienced through the stories that Disney tells.

One of the stories that will be told comes from the Frozen franchise. In the World of Frozen, guests will be able to visit Arendelle and see this kingdom come to life around them when they do so. One of the experiences that can be had in the World of Frozen will be the opportunity to meet Anna and Elsa. To do this, guests will enter the Arendelle Castle and not only meet these two beloved characters. They will also get to see their home and the details that have been brought to life in the castle as seen on the screen.

For guests experiencing this royal encounter, they will get to experience what it is like to go inside Arendelle Castle. Just like in the movies, the doors have been opened up for people outside the country to come in. In this case, it is for the Snowflower Festival. As the celebration continues throughout the kingdom, Anna and Elsa will be welcoming guests for private audiences within the castle.

Once inside the castle, guests will find quite a few references to the animated film Frozen. As they wait, they may recognize paintings that are seen when Anna dances during For the First Time in Forever in the film. This includes a reimagined version of Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s famous painting The Swing. On the other side of the room, there are two family portraits. One depicts Anna and Elsa s children alongside their parents. The other shows Anna and Elsa as adults with Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf.

Emma Yeates, Senior Manager, Show Design at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, shared how this room is particularly important to her. “It allows guests to truly feel transported into Arendelle Castle. From the wallpaper to the paintings, we recreated iconic elements seen in Frozen, along with portraits of members of the royal family to enhance this sense of authenticity.”

The room where guests get to meet their royal highnesses is also quite impressive. There is a beautiful painting that depicts the coronation of King Agnarr, complete with the royal orb and scepter. These Arendelle symbols are used by Elsa herself for her coronation. There is also the clock that Anna leans against during the song Do You Want to Build a Snowman? in one corner as well.

“These are not the only hidden details found throughout the experience,” adds Emma Yeates. “It is full of references, to the universe of Frozen of course, and more! Our guests should keep their eyes open during their next visits…”

Rencontre Royale will open when the World of Frozen opens on March 29, 2026, at Disney Adventure World.
