The scrims around the new home of the Earl of Sandwich in the Downtown Disney District were down this weekend. This came as Santa Ana wins buffeted the Disneyland Resort. With the scrims down, guests at the Disneyland Resort could see the progress that is being made on the location. This comes ahead of its opening sometime this year.
Looking at the building, it appears that the main structure is in place. Where windows and overhangs will appear to be able to be seen as one walks around the building. It appears that the building is getting close to being painted. The Daps Magic team’s photos can be seen here:

When the new permanent home of the Earl of Sandwich opens, it will also feature Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby. It will be found on the top level of the new home of the Earl of Sandwich. The creators of the Earl of Sandwich and world-famous Chef Gordon Ramsay are developing this all-new British-themed gastropub.
This new pub will offer some of Chef Ramsay’s iconic and delicious British classic dishes, delivering culinary star power at the location. This will couple with the pub’s own British pop energy of the swinging ’60s London.

The arrival of Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby adds another celebrity chef’s fingerprints on the culinary scene that is developing in the Downtown Disney District. Along with Chef Ramsay, there are other chefs of renown who are coming to the Downtown Disney District. Chef Carlos Gaytán has already opened Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita. Chef Joe Isidori will be opening Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ. The arrival of these celebrity chefs continues to add to the magic and excitement that can be experienced by guests in the Downtown Disney District.

The lower level of the Earl of Sandwich will offer quick service, as it has been loved by guests since the restaurant’s original location debuted in the Downtown Disney District. Through the years, the Earl of Sandwich has opened, closed, and then opened again at its original home. It has also found its home at the former La Brea Bakery and now at the location near the Star Wars Trading Post.
