The trend of releasing new Avengers: Doomsday teasers on Tuesdays has continued for the third week in a row. This week, the teaser focuses on Patrick Stewart’s Professor Xavier and Ian McKellen’s Magneto discussing death. “Death comes for us all,” Professor X says. The dialogue continues with Professor X saying, “The question is: who would you be when you close your eyes?” This is followed by a quick change of shots. Instead of the quiet and somber conversation in X-Mansion, to James Marsden’s Cyclops, who is displaying his incredible power. It also appears that this could be a part of a bigger and more destructive scene.
This marks the first time that Marvel Studios will be bringing the X-Men fully into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with other heroes like the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and others. Previously, Wolverine has appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine, and Professor Xavier appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as another version of the character from another dimension.
As Avengers: Doomsday comes on the heels of several stories digging into the multiverse, anything is possible with these characters at this point.
