How to Watch ‘Disneyland Handcrafted’ Early!

Disneyland Handcrafted will arrive on Disney+ and Disney’s YouTube channel on January 22, 2026. Ahead of the debut of this Leslie Iwerks documentary about the year leading up to the opening of Disneyland, this film will be at the AMC Burbank Town Center 8 for a limited run. This will give fans the chance to see this beautiful film and all its details on the big screen. Not only that, it is just a short drive away from the Walt Disney Studios lot, where so many Disney films have been made through the years.

For those who would like to see Disneyland Handcrafted on the silver screen, AMC Burbank Town Center 8 will be showing the film from January 14 through January 20, 2026. This will give fans a chance to see the trials and tribulations that Walt Disney and his team went through leading up to the opening day of Disneyland on July 17, 1955. Disneyland Handcrafted is a beautiful documentary that chronicles the building of Disneyland. This film is packed full of video that has never been seen before, and stories are told about the making of Disneyland from many different perspectives. This combination creates a treasure that Disney fans will love for years to come. It also shows how Disneyland truly was a passion project that was indeed handcrafted.

Daps Magic was recently invited to the premiere of the film at the Walt Disney Studios. The event included a Q&A with Leslie Iwerks, the movie itself, and then an after-party that included tours of Walt’s Office.
