For many Disney fans, the start of the holiday season begins on the first weekend of December when the Candlelight Processional brings the Christmas story to Town Square at Disneyland. This tradition, which dates back to the days when Walt Disney still walked the park, is beloved by those who can see it. It has a celebrity narrator sharing the story of Christmas. They are joined by a mass choir, handbells, orchestra, soloists, and even fanfare trumpets. On top of this, there is the quality and magic that only Disney can supply. On the weekend of December 6, 2025, the annual Candlelight Processional brought the Christmas story to life at Disneyland once again. This year, Benjamin Bratt was the celebrity narrator for the ceremony.

Benjamin Bratt is most well-known by Disney fans for supplying the voice for Ernesto de la Cruz in Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco. It is also possible that his voice will appear in the future Coco attraction that is coming to the Disneyland Resort. He has also appeared in Miss Congeniality, Catwoman, and Doctor Strange. He also took over the role of Senator Bail Organa in the Star Wars series, Andor. From 1995 to 2009, he also portrayed Detective Rey Curtis in Law & Order. For Candlelight, Bratt brought this wide range of skill and talent to his narration. He expertly read the script and brought it to life with passion, occasionally gesturing, as he told the story of the first Christmas. The script, which was mostly the same as previous years, was updated in a couple of places.

The Candlelight Ceremony is conducted by Nancy Sulahian. She has been directing the Candlelight Ceremony for several years now.
