On December 1, 2010, Tangled was released in French theaters. Byron Howard and Nathan Greno directed this classic film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. It also marked a return to Disney storytelling inspired by European fairy tales. In the last 15 years, the film has continued to remain popular. On March 29, 2026, a new attraction based on the film will open at Disneyland Paris. Called Raiponce Tangled Spin, this attraction will be opening in the new Disney Adventure World! Ahead of its opening, Disneyland Paris shared some details about this beautiful new attraction!
This family-friendly attraction will allow guests of all ages to spin around in a gondola, underneath a lantern-filled sky inspired by the film’s famous scene and accompanied by new orchestrations of ‘I See the Light’ and ‘Kingdom Dance.’
“In the movie, the melody of ‘I See The Light’ is more of a romantic ballad, so we reinterpreted it for the attraction to give it a livelier rhythm, like a waltz, to swirl our guests,” explains Andy Martin, Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris.
The attraction is filled with delightful references to Tangled: a beautiful ceiling fresco painted by Rapunzel herself, with her art materials displayed in the queue, and a charming weathervane of Pascal, her trusty chameleon, sitting proudly on the roof. Mandy Moore, the original voice of Rapunzel, has reprised her role to record the attraction’s welcome messages and safety instructions, bringing an extra layer of authenticity to the experience.
When it opens, RaiponceTangledSpin will be a wonderful addition to Disney Adventure World, perfectly integrated into the romantic, leafy surroundings of Adventure Way. Join us on 29 March 2026 to experience the Lantern Festival!
